Location. The Beach rests along a picturesque stretch of private beach in Negombo, Sri Lanka. This resort is located enroute to the Cultural Triangle and the hill country of Sri Lanka.
Hotel Features. This resort, which was refurbished in 2005, integrates the architectural concept of natural simplicity with the appeal of modern design. Dining is offered at the Black Coral and the Sands restaurants that prepare international and Sri Lankan cuisine. Health and vegetarian menus are available upon request. Starlit dinners are served on the beach, and a poolside bar offers refreshments. A multi purpose function facility accommodates group events, and Internet access is available in the hotel's business center. A spa contains steam baths and plunge pools. This wellness haven offers numerous treatments that include aromatherapy, and Thai and Shiatsu massages. The Rama & Seetha room is equipped with a jetted tub, the site of relaxing flower baths which are enhanced with scented candles. Recreational amenities include a modern gymnasium, tennis and squash courts, billiards, table tennis, and two ocean view outdoor pools. A water sports center is located on the beach, and offers surfing, snorkeling and water skiing. The Kids Club hosts educational and creative children's programs.
Guestrooms. This three story resort offers 75 guestrooms and suites that extend onto private Indian Ocean view balconies or terraces. Island style décor features rich, natural wood furniture, tiled floors and white fabric accents. Air conditioned rooms contain direct dial telephones and cable television. Minibars are included. Private bathrooms are equipped with bath tubs and separate rain showers. Select accommodations include DVD/CD players and coffeemakers. Bathrooms contain bath robes, magnifying mirrors and telephones.
