Location. The CordeValle is located in San Martin, Calif., at the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Downtown San Martin is one mile away. Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park and the Wings of History Aircraft Museum are within five miles.
Hotel Features. The hotel's centerpiece is a championship 18 hole golf course spanning 260 acres. Clos LaChance, the on site Tuscan influenced winery and vineyard, offers tours and a Tasting Room. The estate features a bocce court and picnic areas among the hills. The property offers a health club, heated outdoor pool and four clay tennis courts. Sense, A Rosewood Spa, offers classic spa and vinotherapy treatments. The Spa includes Turkish steam rooms, spa tubs and Vichy showers. Each of seven treatment rooms contains its own herbal garden. The Dining Room, which retains an on staff sommelier, offers menus that highlight local, organic ingredients and the on site vineyard. Guestrooms. Guestrooms encompass 45 private Craftsman style bungalows, villas and houses with golf course views. Rooms feature welcome amenities featuring one complimentary bottle of Clos LaChance wine served with whole fruit. Leather chairs surround working gas fireplaces and original artworks are in each room. Beds offer pillowtop mattresses, Rivolta Carmignani linens with triple sheeting and goose down comforters. Bathrooms feature dual vanities, frameless glass showers and jetted tubs with private garden views. Terry cloth bathrobes and slippers are provided.
Expert Tip. The property offers nine miles of walking trails that snake through the Santa Cruz foothills. Creative rest stops, such as a pair of hammocks or a yoga platform, are found along the paths.
