exterior - entrance The building of the Villa develops on the main body with the suites, the rooms and the meeting halls. The old glass houses, where pine apples and lemons were cultivated have been recently transformed and studied for wedding banquets with a rural taste or congress for 150 people. One of the two guest-room sides houses, among others things, the gastronomic restaurant "Al Berso’" inside and down the arcade. Other Services Garden in an age old park. Inside private parking. Convention halls, meeting rooms, banquet halls, location for photographic services.Exhibitions. Sporting groups withdrawals. Inside and garden restaurant with typical mediterranean kitchen. Bar and Tv. room (SKY channels and pay per view). Suites and rooms with fridge-bar, telephone and Tv.

double room The choice of the forniture was inspired by the same philosophy and every room and every corner of the Villa testify that Villa Castiglioni returned to the past times all furnished with a taste of the Empire. There is nothing "standard" in the thirty five precious rooms marked sometimes with old trusses and ornament stucco-works, baldachin-beds, marbles or fireplaces.It is not a cold number that distinguish them but the name of the Villa park flowers.

Very nice house with beautifil surroundings however poor management. Rooms nice, quiet and clean. Breakfast meager, no service available. Restaurant: Food of bad quality, loveless arranged and expensiv. Poor cost/performance ratio. Wine is OK. Staff exerted but absolutely incompetent.

If you come by train, the station is 5 minutes away from the hotel and you can reach Milan in an hour. Will definitely stay again

Huge room and comfortable bed, beatiful 200 year old building with an absolutly fantastic garden. A memorable stay. Would recomend it to anybody!

Il manque un peu de balisage pour trouver l'hotel, les explications sont bonnes sur le web, mais il faut être plus précis vers la fin du parcours, et il faudrait mieux indiquer l'hotel sur la route. Trés bel endroit.

It so happened we were the only customers in this imposing hotel. The good note is due to the beautiful surrounding park and the friendly service. Amenities just make the grade, this being an old building. Breakfast choices somewhat limited for a hotel of this class.

There must be any kind of pest because we spent the two nights we were there scraping ourselves and not sleeping all night. we left the Villa Castiglioni loosing the third day we reserved.
Beautiful place. Highly recommend having a car though, spent way to much time waiting for buses and walking. Grounds were outstanding. Pictures on website were of suites not standard room.
Motorway Milano/Varese last exit (Varese downtown, Porto Ceresio, Ponte Tresa);Out the Motorway at the first traffic light go straight on, at the second one turn right and once again right (not to the town centre);Go past the two train stations "FF.SS" and "North Station"; Follow the sign board to Villa Castiglioni;Go on follow to Valganna, Ponte Tresa, "Birreria Poretti", on the left side you can see the "Lidt Chocolats" firm; and after 100mt. Turn right.
