Fairly generic hotel, rather out by itself (which is what we wanted). Convenient (with car) to most things in the area, e.g., Torrechiara, Parma, etc. Ate in dining room one night, not bad at all. Staff spoke little English, so we exercised out limited Italian to stay an additional night. There was one (loud) wedding party in the common area one evening, but all was over by 9:00P.

It is a good hotel in a quiet surroundings. The service and facilities are very good and the persons are helpful. I liked the hotel very much.

Although the room was spacious and clean we were told the room had A/C yet it wasn't available to us so we opened the windows only to be woke up by the mosquitos buzzing in our ears and eating us alive. When we arrived there was no one there who spoke any English so it was very difficult to check in. There was a very nice place to eat in Parma with a wonderful waiter who made the stay worthwhile.

Simply disappointing. The hotel is situated next to a main street to Parma. They have a new and an old building. For only one night they won´t give us a room in the new one. We had nearly 40 degrees celsius and an air condition that wasn´t very effective. Trying to sleep with open windows means to be awake by the traffic during the whole night. Our double room looked like a youth hostel: three old beds in one row! Only the breakfast was very fine.

We have enjoyed most the swimmingpool and the good food. The airco in our room did not work properly which was very unconvenient taking into account the actual temperatures. The rooms in the new annex look much better, so ask for a room there.

The rooms have no aircondition and in summertime is it very hot in the rooms.

We are satisfied about our stay in Parma at the hotel "ai Tigli". Breakfast was typically Italian, but sufficient. The swimming pool was marvelous.

No water in the pool; proprietor said, that mids of May is out of saeson although it was already +30° C. No air-condition in the room although indicated. First the owner told us there are no mechanics available this week, afterwards the air condition works within the next 5 minutes when I told the owner that we have to adjust the room rate if it doesn't work !!!
