We had a great deal of trouble finding the hotel but on arrival we were very pleased with the location and facilities offered by this modern hotel. The public areas were large airy and cool as were our rooms which overlooked the hills with Florence in teh distance. The restaurant and food were of a good standard let down slightly by the slow service due to being understaffed, the staff there were very good but were overwhelmed by the volume of diners. We were dissapointed that the minibus service to Florence was fully booked, but in the end the public bus service was very good and suited our timing better (we didn't know about the Italian system of prepurchasing tickets but a very kind Italian man gave us his spare ones and helped keep us out of trouble). In all we enjoyed our stay and would definitly return, your own transport is advisable though.

By car From the south take the Firenze Sud highway exit. Follow the directions to Centro/Viali di Circonvallazione. Cross Ponte S. Niccolò bridge (over the river Arno), continue along the main boulevard to Piazza della Libertà , then take via Bolognese (SS 65) for 12 km until you reach Pratolino. Turn right towards Bivigliano. The Demidoff Hotel is situated at about 2 km along this road on the right.From the north take Barberino di Mugello highway exit. Follow the directions to Borgo S. Lorenzo and Mugello Autodromo Internazionale until you reach the junction in Novoli. Turn right towards Firenze until you reach Vaglia and, after about 4 km, at Pratolino, turn left towards Bivigliano. The Demidoff Hotel is situated at about 2 km along this road on the right.From the west take Firenze Nord highway exit. Follow the highway slip road to Amerigo Vespucci Airport. Follow the directions to Centro/Viali di Circonvallazione. When you reach Piazza della Libertà take via Bolognese (SS 65) for 12 km until you reach Pratolino. Turn right towards Bivigliano. The Demidoff Hotel is situated at about 2 km along this road on the right.
