I wouldn't stay again only if I really really needed to be near the train/bus station. Hotel rooms were dull, I had requested non smoking and there was a stink of smoke in the room. Carpets were stained - both in hallways and in the rooms. We asked for a restaurant to be recommended and were given a map where the receptionist marked an x on where she recommended - but had marked the wrong place. After wandering for over an hour we found it - in the other direction. Breakfast was lovely, location was excellent but the hotel is certainly not a 4 star. Having spent 2 weeks in Sicily - this was the most expensive and poorest quality hotel of them all.

We got a wonderful welcome at the Crystal Hotel when we arrived late at night from a Ryanair flight to Trapani. We were given an upgraded room which was very spacious and well decorated. The toiletries in the bathroom were of very high quality. Breakfast was good and plentiful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Trapani. Trapani itself, in my opinion is just worth a one or two night stay. Make sure you visit Erice when you are there. It is magical! Take the cable car for wonderful views. A word of warning to anyone taking a Ryanair flight from Dublin to Trapani arriving on Sunday evening. BEWARE - there are neither busses nor taxis meeting the flight and no-one in the airport to help. Arrange your own transport if possible.

the location of hotel is central with underground parking.hotel staff very helpful with tips on where to go and we visited parts of the island many would miss.the hotel is slightly faded but clean and the staff very pleasant.

The Crystal is a business hotel - clean, lots of identical rooms, competent staff in uniforms - in short functional. The downside is that the price is slightly higher and I didn't spot that breakfast is not included which made my stay even more expensive (breakfast is €12 extra). The plus side is that the rooms are big, as are the bathrooms and you can park on the street outside the hotel for nothing. I wouldn't rush back there, but then I wouldn't rule it out is I needed to stay in Trapani again.

This was rated as a four star hotel. It is difficult to see why. The washroom did not have a bath, only a shower. The room was furnished well with carpet etc. but rather small. Surprisingly for a hotel called Crystal the bedroom windows were not clean on the outside. There were conference rooms available but the only public place to sit was in the lobby. Breakfast was expensive at 11 euros per person and served in a lobby area rather than in a room. The outsideof the hotel was covered in graffitti. Parking was expensive at 12 euros per night.

The location is excellent because the Hotel is situated opposit the railway station. So, the hotel is very good for tourists looking round Trapani - railway and bus connections just from the railway station.

Though perhaps lacking charm, this efficient and well-appointed hotel is ideal as a base for touring western Sicily - railway station is 30 meters away; bus station 100 meters; and only 5 minutes walk from the centre of Trapani.

I ARRIVED VERY LATE, BUT ALL WAS READY FOR MY STAY. I WAS CHECKED IN AND IN MY ROOM IN MINUTES. I WAS WELCOMED BY THE RESTAURANT/BAR STAFF ON EVERY VISIT. ALL MEALS WERE VERY GOOD(BREAKFAST EGGS ALWAYS PERFECT) THE RESTAURANT MANAGER EVEN MADE ME A SPECIAL TEA WHEN I WASN'T FEELING WELL. THE TEA HAD ME BACK EXPLORING WESTERN SICILY IN NO TIME. THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY AND HELPED ME WITH EVERY QUESTION I MIGHT POSE(FROM SHOPPING TO WHEN AND WHERE TO FIND THE BUS) I WOULD HOPE THAT THAT THE FRAMON GROUP CONGRATULATE ALL THEIR STAFF FOR EXCELLENT SERVICE AND HOSPITALITY. THE HOTEL IS ACCROSS THE STREET FROM THE TRAIN STATION AND ONLY THREE SHORT BLOCKS FROM THE MAIN BUS TERMINAL. MY ROOM WAS CLEAN AND HAD A NICE VIEW FROM A LARGE PICTURE WINDOW. I WILL DEFINITLY STAY AT THE CRYSTAL AGAIN.
