hotel outside The hotel Delle Palme is centrally located, a few steps from the commercial area of the city and from the passenger port in Salerno. The hotel is an ideal choice both for those travelling on business and for those who want to spend a pleasant, relaxing and comfortable holiday. The hotel features a 50s style restaurant, an American bar, a congress centre and private parking area. The sea is only a few metres away, awaiting guests to enjoy all of its many attractions.

very beautiful sea view room!
8.1
Business oriented hotel, but quite close to Medieval Salerno and shopping / restaurant areas. Map and street signs to hotel were a bit patchy, and it took me some time to find the property.
I had 3 rooms for my family. 2 were singles and 1 was a double. Since I was the one booking and paying for the rooms, I did expect that I too would have a view from my room. I had a wall to look at from the opposite building. The others had great views. Thank you for the great and varied breakfasts. This was my first stay at the Hotel Jolly.

Modern hotel ideally located on lovely waterfront promenade and near Duomo and medieval city

The setting for the hotel near the park is very nice, but the city of Salerno needs to clean up the park. And there was a parking shortage one night with the hotel sending us to the city lot where we had to pay - that was not expected. I would have expected the hotel to pick up the tab since they advertise parking with no indication it could be limited and the guests may be charged. The gentleman at the front desk when we checked in was great! We rearranged the order of our sigtseeing adventures and as it turns out probably allowed us to enjoy the time much more by avoiding the Sunday crowds on the Amalfi coast.

Albergo con camere vecchie e rumorose. Una struttura degli anni 70 con gli spazi generali ammodernati e le camere no. Quindi troppo caro per quello che offre

While the hotel delivers all that it promises, it really is too expensive. There are other places in the old town of Salerno that cost less and have more charm. This hotel is large and efficient, but lacks soul - it feels like an American chain. Salerno is a great town, it deserves to be visited as much as Amalfi, Naples etc. The night life on Saturday is great! And one is only a few minutes away from the wharfside action, but i still prefer smaller, more European type places.

This hotel has a beautiful location, overlooking the bay and gardens. The breakfast buffet was the best we had in Italy. The shower was small, but probably standard size compared to other hotels we stayed at. The only real problem we had was trying to find the hotel amidst extreme traffic in Salerno on a Saturday evening. It took us two hours. Because it's on a one-way street, you have to go all the way down on the parallel street until you see the sign for the port/marina, then make a left and another left at the water. That should get you there much easier than the trial and error method we had to use. All in all, the hotel was worth the money.

The Jolly is probably the best hotel Salerno itself has to offer - there are more expensive palaces to the west along the Amalfitana. It lives up to its billing as a smart place to stay - clean and comfortable rooms, a well decorated dining room (sometimes serenaded with awful English pop songs from yesteryear) and an attractive lobby. The buffet breakfasts are generous - English and continental. One drawback is the limited parking space. Another is its actual location at the west end of the Lungomare Trieste - at night hundreds of locals use the forecourt as a walkway to the promenade, having left their cars behind the hotel in two large car parks. So the area is pretty lively into the early hours. Minor moans - my TV broke down twice, some of the room doorbells don't work, some of the corridors could do with redocoration. But the hotel is fairly represented by its advertising and I enjoyed my stay. And it provides a useful base for exploring an area of outstanding natural beauty.
5.2
Once probably quite an upmarket hotel but starting to look rather neglected. Difficult to find from the motorway. Public beach next door was dirty by even british standards.
The breakfast was very good.
By car From Rome and highway A1, enter road A3 in the Salerno direction and take exit Salerno centro. Follow the indications to hotel Delle Palme and Porto. By train The Salerno railway station is 1,5 km from the property. By airplane The Naples airport is 54 km from the property.
The hotel has a private parking area.
Thanks to its range of various sized rooms, the property can host conferences, meetings, club reunions and private dinners. The elegant, well-equipped public rooms, large or small, combined with expert organisational service ensure the best outcome for every event.
