No garage, no parking... too far from railways

Dinner was not as we expected. Also the services. Jolly is a good hotel for business people, who needs a little support; for tourisme Jolly is less suitable.
6.9
Nice hotel, not easy to find a parking and once you find one it is very expensive. Breakfast was perfect. Too expensive in my opinion.

I was given a room with a partial view on the sea side, which it turns out to be fine. We used the hotel as our base to travel to the Cinque Terre towns and surroundings. The room was spacious and clean with an effective A/C. The public parking is plentiful around the hotel. The breakfast was wonderful and plentiful, one of the best in Italy. I will go back anytime. Good value and wonderful location.

One of the twin beds was not ok, the bed/mattress was on an angle which made it extremely uncomfortable to sleep in. The service provided by the desk staff varied from excellent to very poor. The nightime male staff were unable to point us in the direction of restaurants bars, we managed to find them on our own, the next day. not a great attitude on the otherhand the staff during the day, particularly one of the girls (name forgotten) was very good. Cut our stay down by a couple of days, fortunately this was dealt with.
The room was clean and quiet although I was disappointed that the wallpaper was peeling off the wall in some places. There is a park between the hotel and the main road which keeps the noise down. Breakfast was excellent with good service. The gentleman at the reception desk spoke English well. The taxi to the train station is about 9 Euros. It is too far to walk to the station if you have a suitcase to pull, at least 2 kilometers. If you do choose to walk, get directions that do not include going through the tunnel, which is long, dark and narrow. It is very easy to get to the Cinque Terre by train, but hard to find parking near the train station.

Terrific location, very close to boat service, restaurants, and shopping; the walk to the train station is not difficult; the rooms were reasonably clean. The highlight was the expansive breakfast bar, along with the very pleasant service in the restaurant.

I only stayed one night at the Jolly but everything was as represented. I had a single room there and it was still roomy enough. I thought it might be a little small but it wasn't. The staff were very cordial to me and I felt very comfortable there. I had asked for a quiet room and they accommodated me.
This hotel was OK. It seemed the best of a poor bunch when searching for accomodation in La Spezia which was why we eventually chose it although it seemed a little expensive. The breakfast was very good, staff were friendly and polite and our room had a view of the marina, albeit through a reasonably small window. The rooms in this hotel are a strange shape, they are all narrow to allow for each room to have one window (the only window) at the end which overlooks the harbour. The hotel is about 25 minutes walk from the train station and has a number of bus lines runnning nearby to take you to the station. We did not feel that this hotel warranted a 4 star rating, it was more of a 3-star, and while everything was clean and OK and there was nothing wrong with the hotel itself, we would not be in a hurry to return to this hotel. La Spezia proved to be a good base for visiting the villages of the Cinque Terra but is a relatively charmless town and we would recommend staying at one of the villages of the Cinque Terra if at all possible.

An excellent place to serve as base camp for Cinque Terre. La Pezia itself is a lovely harbor town. The hotel was well appointed and very comfortable. The staff friendly helkpful and courteous.
3.7
Compared to the other hotels we stayed in on our break. The Jolly was the most expensive and lacked the quality and charm of the other hotels. Thankfully we stayed at the Jolly first as it would of been a disappointment to of end our trip at his hotel.
