Chiavari is a good point to visit Cinque Terre if you don't want to stay there because its quite close to it. And its a cozy little town, we love it!

My daughter and I arrived by train at noon.It was more than 30 degrees centigrade when we arrived. It is at least 1000 m to walk from the railway station,a policeman and kind persons that we met on the way helped us to find the hotel. The persons in our room left around 13 pm in stead of before 11 am, so we got access to the room around 14 pm. The room had no air conditioning which I had missed to check for when reading the information on the hotel. The price for the room seems a little high in comparison to 3 other hotel rooms during our trip, which all had air conditioning. There was a fan in the bathroom which was turned on when the light was switched on, but it was quite noisy so you could not have it running during the night. Since we slept with open window we heard the noise from a building site close by early in the morning. We tried the breakfast one morning, it was not worth the 5 EU charged per person. Apart from the lack of air conditioning the stay at the hotel was OK, the staff were helpful, one person talked good English and informed us about boats along the coast. We did not spend much time in Chiavari but travelled by train, bus and boat along the coast to villages in the west and east of Chiavari. The beach in Chiavari was alright with several stretches open to the public.

buona struttura corrispondenza con foto ed aspettative.

Great accomodations at a great price. Located in Chiavari it's not one of the main tourist towns on the coast but can easily reach other towns by train. Ask for directions as it is not as close to the train station as stated on the site but still not too far of a walk. Spacious room with bath. Nice light breakfast included.

staff very warm and wellcoming, rooms very comfortable, breakfast was fine, location a little far from the station, but ok anyway.

The place was horrible, in a very small and dirty street. The man at receprion was very unkind, as we were bothering him. We could perfectly hear our room neighbours moving and snoring all night long....we didn't manage to sleep!!! Quality/price horrible....avoid going there!!!

It was a very nice stay in Chiavari. It was very clean and we had a very good sleep because it was nice quiet. The stuff was really lovely and it was a big surprise for us that we had breakfast includet. We were just on the was to a bar outside but the stuff called us back to have breakfast. We would stay in Mignon a second time when we are in Chiavari again. It was our last night in Italy and I think one of the best. Thank you.

Ottimo per chi vuole spendere poco!

A great stay at this hotel. Beautiful building and room modern, spacious. Gorgeous king size bed!
Hotel pulito e in zona tranquilla. Chiamarlo 3 stelle è un po' eccessivo

Rooms were very basic but clean and we were very lucky to get a park in the same street as the hotel. Parking could be a problem though. The staff spoke English and were quite helpful in organising 2 rooms with an adjoining door. It's located in a small street that wasn't too noisy as long as the windows were closed at night.
Not very close to the beaches but in general location is fine. Friendly stuff.

Quite simple room, no good surprise but no real drawbacks or lacks too. The price/quality ratio is not so bad for an italian hotel.

I loved my stay at Mignon. I was in Chiavari for 4 night in private business. The room was spacious, the bathroom was lovely. As a single female traveler I found it convenient to take half board, and I simply loved the evening dinners. The location is quiet, close to the city center and yet far away from the trafic and railroad noise. I'll come back with my husband one fine day!

First of all it seemed farther than advertised from the train station, the location was in a odd area...the noise at the hotel was bad like a whole family was living above your rooms and up all night walking or moving furniture or running across the floors........called to complain and still noisy!!!!!!!!!!! breakfast was fine and staff seemed friendly.
arredamento vetusto

Photos were quite decieving - looked bright, spacious & modern.. in reality was small, dark.. beds were lumpy & uncomfortable. Location wasn't too bad, bit of a walk to the beach/town centre. Wouldn't go back.
A great place to stay if you want come peace and quiet and somewhere away from the busy roads. Great staff and nice, welcoming rooms.

Rooms are sparesely furnished, but they are basically clean and comfortable. When we arrived at 10pm, only the night porter was on duty at the reception desk. He had problems locating the key for the rooms and was not really able to make us feel welcome. Also, we struggled to find a parking space and all the roads around the hotel are lined with cars parked bumper to bumper. We only had a one night stopover at the hotel, so price wise, we were more than happy. However, I couldn't imagine wanting to stay for more than a few days here.
8.2
This was a really nice place. The people were nice and very accomodating. Unfortunately we were right over the kitchen so when the cook was pounding the meat for dinner we were trying to take a nap but couldn't. Fortunately when our neighbors were pounding their meat i the evening we could hear them too, but that was ok ;) . Over all it was a good place for the price.

This hotel has to be one of the noisiest I have ever stayed in. This was due to the complete lack of soundproofing & the fact that my room was only seperated from the one next one by a door. Itallians seem to think that the volume control on tvs is for playing as loudly as possible. They also seem to be totally oblivious of the fact that there are other people staying in the hotel. So if you want a quiet place to return to after a day's sightseeing, avoid this hotel. On the plus side the owners were very pleasant & helpful. Chiavari has a few interesting buildings & churches. If you want some night life avoid here, as everything seems to close at 8pm.
I'm not sure how the Mignon rates three stars. It is a nice hotel in a convenient location, but the rooms are stark and the furniture is cheap. The front desk people were very nice and helpful. I would stay here again because the quality is consistent with the price. I was just expecting more from a three-star hotel.
The hotel is clean, but still it should be a 1 star hotel and not a 3 star hotel. On the web it says that it is 200 mt from the sea, well, be prepared for a 30/40 min walk to the beaches!
Essendo un albergo di tre stelle dovrebbe avere l' aria condizionata. Il parcheggio dell' albergo era pieno e abbiamo dovuto spendere 10 euro in un parcheggio vicino.
6.4
Noise level in room is a little bit high due mainly lack of air conditionning ( window open); But that's typicaly Italy and mainly the style of the buildings and the surroundings in the area. Conclusion: good quality hotel for the price and well located in town.
6.5
Convenient location for central Chiavari and private beaches. Good customer service and generally well looked after property.
7.4
The room was roomy and clean. The breakfast was disappointing. Not the worst we received in Europe but definitely below par. The most disappointing part was that we selected the hotel because, according to the web, it had parking available at the hotel. But when we got there we were told that the parking was full and we were not given a whole lot of help on where to find parking. "Just look around". We did eventually find parking several blocks away on the streets but kept wondering if we were parked legally since the signs were confusing (precisely what we tried to avoid by looking for a hotel with parking).
8.5
Room is practical and functional. Location is convenient. All in all very good value for money.
The hotel staff were very good but the hotel was more 1 to 2 star than 3 . It was worn out and very outdated. There was a huge problem with parking which was not pointed out at the time of booking and not confirmed by the hotel when I emailed them about it before arrival. 20 to 30 minutes at a times hunting for a space anywhere near!!!!!!!!!

We booked a double room with an extra bed but when we arrived there was no extrabed noticed at the hotel. I wrote in the comments to the hotel part about the extrabed but it did not work out. But we were lucky, they had a 3-bed room avalaible but then the price was higher.
By car The hotel is easily reachable by the motorway Genova-Livorno, A7, exit Chiavari. Follow the indications for the centro-stazione. By train The hotel is 500 metres from the Chiavari railway station. By airplane The hotel is 40 minutes from the Genoa airport and one hour and a half from the Pisa airport.
It is possible to park in the nearby private parking. The cost is around AC;7,00 per day. The price may vary.
After a long day strolling on the streets and on the beach, guests can relax in the bar, sipping a drink.
