The complimentary wine and hors d'oeuvres each weekday evening is much appreciated, only a pity it is not available Saturday and Sunday. The kindness and the competence of your staff is just great, thanks a lot!

Our first room was very spacious and full of light ( 6th floor) but during the evening and most of the night, two garbage trucks were operating a few meters from the hotel and the noise was so unbearable that we could not sleep. No The next day, I asked for another room at the back of the hotel , the staff was cooperative and found a solution . Our new room was smaller and darker ( 3rd floor) but also much quieter .

Hotel in a great location, an easy 15 min walk from Times Square in one direction and Central Park in the other. We did have an unfortunate mishap with the hotel forgetting to pick up the laundry we had requested. Due to this not happening on a Saturday the service was not available on the Sunday and we would have had to wait until Monday, Leaving on Tuesday so no use but they were very apologetic. Other issue in that external line for tel did not work (kept giving 2 lines)resulting in us making repeated calls to car service who had to call us back. We mentioned this to reception who apologised and agreed to deduct cost of calls made from our bill which they didnt. only a couple of dollars so minor issue. Breakfast room a bit wierd, not what we were expecting due to easy chairs and sofas, coffee tables etc and always very busy. However the hotel generally was exceptionally spacious with the rooms much larger than required or expected. Robes, slippers etc very useful when packing for short trips. We would return and would recomend this hotel to others.

Nice hotel, extremely well located and with a nice athmosphere and god staff. Breakfast and the "wine & cheese" are very enjoyable. Rooms are clean, not very spacious, but neatly organized. We had a room in the back, so we did not suffer from the noise.

We loved the hotel. It is well located on East 54th Street, only a few blocks from Central Park, an easy walk to Broadway and Times Square, and a few steps to the stupendous Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). It's also an easy walk to Grand Central - make sure you stop into the restaurant at lunch time for a bowl of chowder. The Elysee breakfast (included in tarriff) was excellent, the rooms clean and fresh, and the bed one of the most comfortable I've found in a hotel. It all felt luxurious and fabulous! The concierge, serving and cleaning staff were very good but front desk could have been more knowledgable about their city, and if they had been a little more welcoming the hotel would have been perfect. I would happily recommend the Hotel Elysee to anyone looking for a good, mid-town location. Avoid the Italian restaurant opposite MoMA on 54th (Bice, I think - the Elysee recommends it in their materials but it's overpriced and, apart from the decor and interior design, very ordinary). Check out the New York Times for restaurant recommendations in the price range and area you want. They come up trumps every time.
