hotel front view EA Hotel Derby is located in Carlsbad, in the vicinity of the Elisabeth spa and the spa gardens. It offers comfortable accommodation in elegant and stylishly fitted rooms. Based on medical examinations, the Elisabeth spa provides classical treatment such as baths, massage therapies, mud baths, electrotherapy and a thermal water swimming pool. In-house facilities include a sauna and a whirlpool for guests' relaxation.

The accommodations are furthermore equipped with satellite TV, direct dial telephone, safe, radio, desk, Internet access and mini fridge. Baby cots and non-smoking rooms are available on request.
The breakfast buffet is served in the restaurant from 7.30 a.m. until 10 a.m.

Spacious suite of rooms, even though we just booked a double room. Threadbare towels in the bathroom and a bit seedy overall, but you get what you pay for in this town. Very basic.

The hotel were rated as a four stars hotel, but it should be rated as a two stars only. According to the reservation voucher, the parking should cost 5 Euro/night. However, we were charged the parking fee at 10 Euro/night instead.

The room was not large, but plenty of space, lots of light, and very very clean. The staff wasn't chatty, but were polite and tried to help although they didn't speak much English. I was first disappointed that hotel was not in the middle of the main tourist area. But once I got accustomed to the place, I was thankful that it wasn't in the middle of all the shops and other hotels, plus was close to both the train & bus stations as well as one of the bigger spas and the post office. Yet you are in the popular area with a 5 minute walk that is well lit at night. Well worth the money...one of my favorites from the trip.
