This is a very nice and cosy hotel with a very nice staff all the way, we where treated like belonging to the family, and it was avery nice family and landlady, a splendid breakfast in nice surroundings and cosy athmosphere. We can recommend it to people who like peace and cuietness.

If you want to stay near Chania, friendly and very helpfull staff, good beaches, plenty of restaurants,and at the same time awoid noice when you want to sleep. this is the place to stay!A good choise to a fair price!

We would definitely stay again at the Ria Hotel. It is a small, quiet, cozy hotel just off the main road on a narrow side street. It has a courtyard, garden and pool area with lounge chairs and table and chairs with a snack bar nearby. The rooms are clean, comfortable and have balconies with great views (some view the sea, some the mountains). It is located just a 10 minute stroll to one of the most beautiful beaches on Crete and a short bus ride into the city centre and old town. There are several small markets and tavernas nearby and the rooms come with mini refrigerators, so picnics and leftovers are possible. The owner is very warm, very friendly and very helpful with local information and assisting you with taxis, rental cars, etc. She also serves a good breakfast with many menus to choose from. The water is heated by solar so the best showers are after a morning spent on the beach. The Ria Hotel is family owned and operated and a great place to stay for the money. We will definitely go there again.

4 belgians came for the 5th time to Chania but the first time to Ria Hotel. It is the best spot tot start your holiday in Crete. The lady organises transport from Chania airport tot the hotel. We had a nice and friendly welcome. Good rooms, daily choise between 4 fomulas of breakfast, nice and quiet pool and beach at a five minutes walk. We come back.

Only one proble: find the hotel Take in Chanea city center the bus number 1,15 or 21(best). You must stop after INKA and Lidl supermarkets in kato Daratso. Walk 300 meters till find a minimarket called Skandinavian and this is the hotel street.

First: It is a good resort for its price. It really has a pool but it is smaller than it can be imagined by the picture and it is mainly used by children. There are a lot of minimarkets and tavernas near the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, breakfast was not bad for the price, and the room was large enough and with a nice view to the pool and other apartment hotels. The room was comfortable, quiet and very clean at the first day but it was not cleaned all the 4 days (only the trash was emptied). There was not TV and fan in the room, but I saw unused fans in the corridor, so I think it shoud be asked if somebody wants to use. There was an air conditioner in the room but its charge is 7 Euro per Day. It is hard to find the hotel by the location instructions. I didn't find the signs "Kato Daratso" and "Apostoli beach". I found Apostoli beach but the hotel is at the other side of the main road. I suggest the following way to find the hotel: if you are leaving Chania to Kissamous direction, after 4 km you will see an Audi building on the right and the "Skandinav Supermarket" on the left. You have to turn left before the Supermarket (it is a narrow street) and Ria will be at the and of the road, very close to the main road. The other problem was that the POS terminal didn't work so I couldn't pay by credit card, only by cash. So it is not the best resort where I've ever been but it is affordable for the price. If you want to see Chania or want to relax in a very nice beach it is a good and cheap choice.

Il "Ria Hotel - snack bar" non è segnalato su strada o su carta. La stanza, con bagno, era priva di telefono o radio, modesta ma pulita, dotata di aria condizionata e frigo; la spiaggia sabbiosa è bella ed è raggiungibile a piedi (ca. 300 m); c'è una piccola piscina, con sdraio, ombrelloni e tavolini, e il posto è molto tranquillo. Buoni i collegamenti bus per le località vicine. Una soluzione familiare e semplice, economica, e una buona base per escursioni nell'isola. Lo consiglierei a viaggiatori molto informali, che amano l'essenziale.
