The property is within a 10-minute walk from the brand-new aqua park of Debrecen and just 35 km away from the Hortobágy National Park, where you can taste the original Goulash soup and explore the picturesque puszta.

Well located, central city property, close to restaurants. Willing service, but some communication difficulties in a family run hotel, where only father understands some English.

Very good budget hostel, lovely welcome from friendly staff, good security. Just be careful as they will give you the price of the room in Euro's (even though Hungary uses HUF's) then use an awful exchange rate to convert it. We were British so wanted to work things out in GBP or HUFs! What have Euro's got to do with it???

This is the worst place I have ever stayed. Terrible location and hard to find. Paper thin walls. Scary people. Terrible beds and linnens. Paper thin towels. I could not wait to get out of there.

For the money, this was a nice, friendly B&B - very basic but clean and extremely central. Do note there's a nearby churchbell ringing every 15 minutes or so much of the day, so you may want to bring earplugs if you want to lie in, and the bed/giant pillow (typical in Hungary) may not be the most comfortable you've ever slept on (though definitely sleepable on) but everybody was very warm and welcoming and, for the essentials, it was good value and a calm base for a visit to Debrecen.
By car Take the highway M1 in direction of Budapest, proceeding afterwards on the highway M3, following the indications to Debrecen. By train From the main railway station (about 300 metres away) you can take bus line 31 and get off after three stops at the Batthány Street stop. By airplane From Debrecen aiport (about 6 km away) you can easily reach the guest house by taxi.
Guests can park, for free, in the guest house parking area.
The property features a cosy bar where guests can taste some local wine.
