We had a very enjoyable first stay in Sirmione. The hotel staff were very helpful. Location was very good. The room faced onto the road which proved to be rather noisy early morning.

Very pleasant stay! Comfortable and clean room (new and modern design). Good breakfast. The hotel situated in the heart of the town (you should pass the castle and drive through narrow pedestrian street - it's not easy but it worth). We do recommend this hotel.

nice place in the old town of Sirmione, on the way to the Catullus grottoes Roman ruin and the public baths. beware that to get here with your car you must inconvenience a lot of pedestrians in the narrow streets. Parking is a pleasant 5-10 minute walk, but not a great problem. Sirmione is a wonderful place!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were very modern, with adequate room, excellent for a 3 star hotel. The bathroom was as good as some 4 stars I've stayed in. My main complaint was that the breakfast wasn't very good, and at night there was some noise from the street outside. Also, the 'lake view' wasn't quite the view I was hoping for - I could see the lake from the window, but that was about it. I would be happy to recommend the Mavino hotel, the staff were friendly and helpful, with a good level of english and the rooms were a pleasant surprise for a 3 star hotel. This was easily the best 3 star I've stayed in.

The staff were really welcoming including meeting us inside the castle gate. The only catch was some confusion with the parking. There is definitely parking inside the old town Don't be fooled by what the castle attendents say!! The room was excellent too although the balcony is really non existent

You have to drive through the town with all the tourists to get to the parking lot for this hotel. This was quite a challenge, but very memorable, not for novices. The room was very modern and well decorated. Sadly the shower was not completely enclosed and taking a shower resulted in getting water all over the floor. Left before breakfast was available. Frost desk claimed the credit card machine did not work that early in the morning. Really? Other than that, very helpful front desk and great location.

Room and hotel is very new, everything looks good. Room was clean and air condition worked well and had individual control. Not all rooms had balcony. Good location in historical Sirmione, close to restaurants, shops and harbour with ferry to other towns around the lake. About 5 minutes walk to the beach/lake. Bus to Desenzano and Peschiera is about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. Breakfast was good, several things to choose between. Staff was nice and helpful. I would absolutely recommend this hotel.

Excellent location. Best value for the money throughout my stay in Italy. My WiFi did not work, but Dominico was very helpful and made my next day’s hotel reservation with lots of suggestions for my open ended travel.

Great location in the middle of town. A good base for exploring Lake Garda, with good public transport links for those travellers without cars. The hotel was clean and had everything you needed for an overnight stay.

There is a nice restaurant close to the hotel. Just 50 meters after you get out of the hotel and walk direction center on the left side. The Spaghetti alla vongole and the Tiramisu are perfect. Sirmione is a beautiful old and small place. I recommend Hotel Mavino as everything is quite new and clean. Our room was a little bit small but for one night it was OK and we could see the lake very nice. The parking is some 300 meters away so better take all you need out from the car.

I would highly recommend this hotel. Great location, service, rooms and breakfast (fresh pineapple and watermelon!). We requested a room with a view of the lake and the room also had a balcony with 2 chairs. It really enhanced the visit. We inquired about a bar to watch one of the rugby world cup matches and the staff told us we could watch it in reception which was very decent of them. We were very happy that we stayed here.

Fuimos atendidos por sus dueños con gran amabilidad,el hotel esta totalmente modernizado , muy acogedoras las habitaciones con baño completo y buenas dimensiones.Algunas no tiene vista al lago pero igualmente el panorama es agradable y apacible, rodeado de arboles y flores. El estacionamiento pertenece a otro hotel aproximadamente a dos cuadras , pero al estar dentro del centro historico praticamente no es necesario hacer uso del auto. Sin duda regresaremos y lo recomendamos ampliamente

Good location, slightly quieter than nearer the castle. Plenty of choice at breakfast although rolls rather small and very crusty. Our room was fine but not too spacious and we missed some drawer space. Also missed the opportunity to make our own cup of tea, although the bar downstairs provided hot/cold drinks at a small charge. Helpful staff.

We stayed in a double room on the second floor, It had a very nice view of the lake, was extremely clean and modern. The location of the hotel is excellent. Even though car parking is a short walk away this is was not an issue for us and we would definitely return to the Mavino as our first choice on another visit. The staff were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant. What more can you ask for?

All of the hotels in the old part of Sirmione have to be accessed through the castle to start with which can be a little daunting due to the number of people on the very narrow road you have to drive along. But having managed to get to the hotel we were welcomed by a very friendly receptionist who gave us directions up to the car park around the corner, which was free to the hotel guests. Our room was very clean with a view of the lake (soom rooms including ours didnt have balcony and the rooms on the other side of the hotel had a view of the street and another hotel) We would have been disappointed to be on that side of the hotel. The bathroom looked as though it had just been put in it was that nice (a little small though) and could hear other guests in adjacent rooms occasionaly flushing toilet during night. Overall however we would recommend this hotel to anyone, good value, spotless room, quiet and in a brilliant location (right beside the aqua-sana spa too!)

This hotel is very nice, clean and the room was quite big. I only see two problems, the first is about the hotel location, that for sure is very good because in the center of Sirmione, but if you arrive by car, especially during the weekend you have to pass by very small streets completely full of turist that would kill you because your car is disturbing their visit to the town and the second problem is that the parking place is 10 minutes walking by the hotel that for sure is justified by the hotel position and good to make a little walk, but sometimes is not so pleasant especially is you get beck to the hotel in the nightime and you are tired. Anything else is OK.

We stayed at Mavino hotel for one night and were pleasantly surprised. We got a really good price for the room. The bedroom is small but perfectly comfortable. The bathroom is modern and spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. The lake view from the room was a major plus. I wasnt expecting a balcony so this was a fantastic surprise. All in all 10/10 for this hotel.

Excellent value. Very friendly staff. We were NOT rushed at breakfast. Food was left out after the stated hour and no one was told to leave the restaurant after the breakfast hour was over. We were VERY PLEASED with our stay at the Mavino!!

Hotel staff where very helpful and friendly even if they did have a slite problem understanding us, but managed to get all the information we asked for. The hotel was very clean and the room was nice and spacious although the toilet/shower room could have been a bit bigger. It would have been nice to have a kettle in the room, although could purchase a drink down in main reception. We had a lovely room overlooking the lake and would defiantly go back to same hotel if we where to vist again. Overall was good value for money.

A lovely hotel right in the Centre of Sirmione. Staff are very nice and helpful, they even let us use their personal computer to check our email. The rooms were very nice and clean, the only complaint is they are a bit on the small side but it's not a big problem as we did not spend much time in the room.

the noise between rooms is unbearable sometimes, depends if you have neighbours, you can hear EVERYTHING. i would not come back just due to the noise, but Sirmione is worth a second visit.

This was by far the best hotel we stayed in during our trip to Italy (having stayed in a range of hotels between 2 and 5 stars). I would strongly endorse hotel Mavino to anybody visiting Sirmione and can assure you there will be no disappointment. Our room was newly refurbished and had an amazing view of the lake (I think it was the one displayed on the web page). The staff were very friendly and helpful. The price was excellent as well, very reasonable. I liked this hotel so much I would feel sorry for anyone who visited the area and never stayed here. Perfect location with a beautiful Spa next door you can visit.

Hotel Mavino is located very centrally in the Historic Centre of Sirmione. Our general experience was quite good, although the room and bathroom were a bit small. All the other facilities were above average for a 3-star hotel and the surroundings were excellent. The staff were very friendly and co-operative with information about trains, etc. The level of cleanliness was excellent, the hotel was renovatd recently,therefore the furniture and fittings are new.

Accoglienza fantastica! Sono stati molto gentili. Vista la disponibilità, per la stessa cifra, hanno deciso di farci alloggiare in una stanza vista lago anche se non richiesto. Le stanze erano molto pulite. Inoltre, nonostante la formula B&B, hanno permesso di lasciare l'auto nel loro parcheggio(a due passi dal lido) anche per il giorno successivo.Unico "difetto" la doccia che allaga un po' il pavimento.Ma si è asciugato in fretta! ;-)

An excellent 3 star hotel situated in the heart of Sirmiione. A modest good buffet breakfast. The staff was very helpful. The only problem is with the parking which is 300 meters away and always full which meant we had to move around to find space. Otherwise an excellent choice.

This hotel while in center of an ancient city has been remodeled and is modern in every way. Great location for exploring Sirmioni. Only negative is it's a little hard to find. One must know to look for the castle and actually drive through the ancient arch to the city. It's a geat find. The town has everything. Our stay was too short. There is a wonderful Spa in town which we would have booked spa services ahead of time had we known about it.

The hotel apparently had a renovation with all the cool security system stuff we don't seem to have in the States. The lobby area was nice and we had the room featured in the pictures. Bathroom was nice. It is one of those open kind but we didn't have a problem with water going everywhere- we're short. We had a slice of view of the water, since it is not on the water. There was an elevator. Breakfast was continental, of course, and there is a coffee machine that you press a button for whatever you want. It was good. All of the staff people were very nice. If you are interested in going to the new spa daily(and you should), I think this is a great location. You don't have to go past lots of people and shops; you are right there. You are also halfway between the castle(cute, reasonable shopping) and the Grotto. You are closer to the good beach, spiaggia. The downside: you don't have a pool but it's much more fun lolling on a sunbed at the spa. On quality vs. price, the only reason I gave it a lower rating is because there wasn't a pool and it should have been slightly cheaper than similar hotels with pools. Venere.com was the only company where I found a large selection of hotels in Sirmione- it was so helpful. In fact, I couldn't find a lot of info about Sirmione itself in English, but that made me know it was exactly what I was looking for! Sirmione was the highlight of our trip. It is so perfect! The people there were very friendly. My mother lived in Italy for many years and was delighted with Sirmione. Also, we were there early June and this is a great time to visit. We only stayed 2 nights and 3 nights would have been better.

Wasn't sure what to expect as there were no guest comments to review when my wife and I booked this hotel. There was no need to worry as we couldn't fault the place. Firstly,it is just two minutes walk(if that)north of village centre so you don't have any hustle and bustle but you do have the convenience of being close to everything(Sirmione is a small place,anyway). The receptionist waa absolutely perfect-welcoming,friendly,helpful,professional and with a sense of humour. The interior of the hotel looked quite new,done out with a modern feel,and everything was impeccable. Plenty to eat for breakfast. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone,it was definitely much more than satisfactory.

Nice charming hotel in Sirmione, just north of the major traffic. Room was small and shower was tiny. It was a wet shower and water got everywhere. Great location to tour Sirmione from. There's no parking except outside the castle wall. Not much view from the room, but we didn't spend any time there anyway. Desk staff was very friendly.

Globalmente il giudizio è positivo, le uniche pecche riguardano il parcheggio (gratuito) che dista circa 400 m dall'albergo e la colazione, sicuramente non di altissimo livello. La posizione è eccellente, nel cuore di Sirmione. Comunque ci ritornerei

We stayed in July 2005. Hotel Mavino looked lovely on the website and exceeded our expectations. It was clean, light and airy and we loved the breakfast room with the fantastic views. Ideal location - just a few minutes walk from everything and very helpful staff. We would definitely stay here again.
