hotel outside The Hotel Jakoberhof, a family property founded more than 100 years ago, is located in the city of Augsburg. This 2000-year old university town, former centre of architecture, music and painting, has become today also a renowned business location. This recently renovated historic property is situated not far from the railway station and the most important sights. Right round the corner guests can reach on foot the Fuggerei, the Brechthaus and the town hall (Rathaus). The hotel staff is always at your disposal to provide information about all sites of interest of Augsburg. City maps are available at the front desk, open until 11.55 p.m. In the summer, guests can easily visit the city by bike, which can be rented directly at the hotel.

double room The hotel has 45 light and friendly single and double non-smoking rooms, some of them even equipped with a kitchenette. The comfortable and spacious wooden beds, which create a warm atmosphere, may also feature anti-allergic pillows, which are available on request. The accommodations meet the needs of both businessmen and tourists. They are equipped with radio, heating, Wi-Fi Internet connection, direct dial telephone, sound-proof windows, cable TV and, in the summer, with a fan. Furthermore at guests' disposal a coin-operated laundry as well as ironing facilities.
A comprehensive breakfast buffet is served in the breakfast room from 6 a.m. until 10 a.m. and from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. on weekends.

Very nice hotel at about 10 minutes walk distance from the wonderful city center. The hotel exist of the mainbuilding (see photograph Venere) and some other small buildings around a parking court for free parking. Opposite the hotel you find the historical social dwelling settlement "Fuggerei".

This hotel was a great value for the money. The staff did not speak English but that wasn't much of a problem. The breakfast was decent and the rooms were clean. The staff was friendly and accomodating.

Proprietor did not know about my reservation. Said he did not check his email. Asked to wait 10 mins to find suitable room. We requested a double; he only had a twin. Initial impression of hotel made us 'nervous' (it was late and there wasn't another soul in the hotel) and we almost decided not to stay. In the end it was fine and the other staff (and guests!) who we met the next day were very pleasant. Gave us a discount on web-quoted price as the room type was not available.

Very quite and nice hotel, very close to the city centre (10 min walking). Rooms very clean and most of them recently renewed. Poor english at the front desk, but people very kind. Very good price/quality relationship: reccomended for holidays or cheap business trip!

By car Leave the highway A8 at the junction Augsburg-Ost and drive towards the town centre (Stadtmitte). At the second traffic light (cross-way Neuburger Straße/Hans-Böckler-Straße) turn left and drive straightforward in direction of the town centre (Stadtmitte). At the Jakobertor turn right towards the church Jakobskirche. The hotel is located directly behind the church; you have to drive till the next traffic light, turn left and after 50 metres turn left again. By train From the railway station take tram (Straßenbahn) line 2 and get off at the Königsplatz stop. Switch to tram line 1 towards Lechhausen and get off at the fourth stop (Jakobsplatz), located near the hotel. By airplane The München-Erding airport is only one driving hour away from Augsburg. From the terminal 1 and 2 take the shuttle bus to Augsburg. A quick and comfortable access to the city is offered also by the German Railways (Deutsche Bahn).
The hotel offers a private parking area, which is free of charge.
