exterior - entrance Hotel Scandinavia lies right in the centre of Brussels, close to the major places of cultural interest and well connected by an efficient public transport network to every part of the city. The nearest railway station can be reached in a 5-minute walk. The hotel offers an array of services suitable for both leisure and business travellers. A fully equipped business centre ensures successful meetings and conferences, with the support of a state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment and secretarial and translation services (upon advanced request). A 24-hour bar as well as a restaurant serving Belgian and international cuisine, open for lunch and dinner, are at your disposal. double room The hotel offers accommodation in single, twin, double and triple rooms, each offering a welcoming and cosy ambience. Some rooms are reserved for non-smoking guests. All rooms feature private bathroom with hairdryer and are equipped with desk, safe, Wi-Fi Internet connection, mini bar, heating facilities, cable TV and direct dial phone. Ironing facilities and baby cots are available on request.

The people were nice and helpful (e.g. arranged a 4 am taxi to Charleroi airport at a reasonable cost). Restaurant adjacent the lobby area so it was smoky. Hotel was difficult to find due to poor street markings in Brussels, so bring a map esp. if you are trying to walk from Midi train station. Accommodations were clean and quiet but spartan, as expected. In short: good basic lodging with caveats as noted.

the public areas have a horrid and offensive smell of fried cooking. The corridors smell of glue.
C'est un quartier un peu dangereux parait il. Nous avons eu aucun problème en rentrant le soir. C'est à 15min à pied de la grande place et donc du coeur de bruxelles. Proche gare.
