I was travelling with my Fiance for the weekend to celebrate our engagement. Unfortunately there was a conference on this weekend and this was the only accommodation we could get therefore we had to pay over and above the normal rate. The hotel is clean and rooms are quite spacious but it is quite far out of town and you will have to get a bus in and out. We bought a 72hr ticket which was reasonably cheap however it was inconvenient having to come back in the evening by bus to go out again. The night staff when we arrived were very unfriendly and don't expect to get anything to eat after 11pm and there is nothing else near either. The other night porter was lovely and very helpful on the other nights. The bar/restaurant is lovely.

Sleeping with an open window, when the weather is hot, is an unpleasant experience, because of the constant noise coming from the road, close to the hotel.

Much too far away from anything. You will pay more in buses , taxi than you hope to save by not taking a hotel downtown. The appearance is run down, student dormitory

The hotel is beautiful and functional. In my opinion, given its location, it should be a little cheaper, or the price should include the breakfast. Anyway, everything is fine and corresponding the description, and the service quality is unexceptionable. If you take the bus to go to the centre (station), do not use the stop in front of the hotel, and have a little (really little) walk to the next stop: two buses (22 and 38) stop there instead of one, and it will take two strips instead of three ;-)

We stayed in a double room for one night. It was a really nice hotel in a very convienient location and it was easy to get to the central station and the cantre of the city through public transports. The hotel environment is great, but our matrice was not double but was one for twin beds!Furthermore, our room was facing the highspeedroad so it was pretty noisy.Beyond that we really loved our stay there and the price was very good for that hotel.I definetely recommend!

I chose this hotel specifically because they were supposed to have an airport shuttle. Lo and behold, when I arrived at the airport, there was no shuttle. Very disappointing.

The hotel is not exactly "centrally located", it is more like towards the periphery of the city. The surroundings are more like an industrial/lower-income residential site. Not bad, dangerous or ugly, but definitely not the Amsterdam canals...Does not matter too much, since the bus station is right outside the front door. I would recommend a day-ticket, sold at the reception and good for all the public tranportation lines in Amsterdam. Buses and trams are very clean and not crowded. Very safe, even late at night. Not worth driving your car in Amsterdam, because it's very difficult to find parking. The hotel staff was very knowledgeable, professional and helpful. Rooms were large and clean and quiet. We did not spend too much time in the hotel and did not have breakfast there, but the common areas seemed nice and spacious. The underground parking is small (surprising, given the location and the size of the hotel) but otherwise well lit and secure. Overall, a pleasant stay at a nice hotel. Oh, and we liked the two plastic cows in front of the hotel: spider-cow and super-cow...Just like in the pictures...

We wanted to stay outside of the city proper for our first overnight so that we could deal with jet lag, etc. The staff was very helpful in showing us how to get into the city and answering our questions. They were able to sell us a 2 day pass right at the hotel so that saved us a bit of time with transportation. We chose not to eat at the hotel even for breakfast as the prices appeared a little high compared to other places in Amsterdam. Everywhere else that we stayed in Europe offered breakfast with the price of the hotel.

My boyfriend and I stayed here and while the room was lovely and mod, it looks out over an industrial area and was far out of central Amsterdam - we had to catch expensive cabs to and from the hotel. The staff were friendly and the bar was great, but there were all these hidden costs and we ended up paying about 50 euros more than we expected.

This hotel was a great bargain. It offers very modern rooms and a great restaruant and bar. The decor is wonderful with all the original art. It is also very close to public transportation (couple blocks from bus stop) which brings you into the heart of Amsterdam. I would definitely stay there again.

Grazie.

I found this hotel to be very comfortable, and our room on the second floor was very quiet. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room overlooked the road, but it was not noisy. It was very easy to use the very efficient public transport system (bus stop outside the hotel)to access the centre of Amsterdam, and it is possible to walk to other places of interest.

We loved this place, the only thing was that it was a good 20 mins by bus but this wasn't a problem because the buses were quite regualar leaving twice in the hour. Breakfast was great but ten euros, the only negative was that we rang reception to order a taxi and they sent a limosine taxi which ended up costing us 20euro and they did not inform us of this so we were a bit angry about that. Otherwise the rooms are absolutely beautiful and the hotel is done out in an amazing fashion. Great for Art Lovers.

Nice clean hotel with friendly staff although not in heart of Amsterdam. Rooms basic but ideal for short term stay. 10 minutes from Amsterdam centre by excellent bus link (No.'s 48 & 49). Recommend you buy bus pass from Information Office directly opposite Amsterdam Central (48 hr pass only €10) as this gives unlimited access to all buses & trams. Hotel lobby is stunning with portraits of Zappa, Bowie and Brando to name a few. Good value for money.

It's a nice not too expensive hotel, it's a little bit out from the centre but not to far. Buses run every 15 minutes from outside the hotel . The rooms were very clean and for English speakers there are a few decent English speaking channels on the TV for relaxing at night time. Not just CNN and BBCWorld which seems to be so common in other places.

The hotel is situated just outside the centre of Amsterdam, only 10 minutes by bus from the Central Station. We offen walked to/from the centre of Amsterdam in about 40 minutes. Due to the location the hotel was very nice and quiet. The only thing to be aware of is that breakfast is charged ekstra 15 Euro pr. person. We will definitely stay at this hotel again, when coming to Amsterdam.

a nice hotel but a little way out of amsterdam centre, needed to catch a bus every time travelling in and out of the centre (no 49) bus fares were cheap though. for the price it is value for money the web pape should give more info on how to get there from the bus station, we had to spend a lot of time at begining of weekend trying to find out where the hotel was etc.

The odd reception staff-member a bit off-hand, but no major complaints. Watch out for the taxis....they love to rip you off. Should NOT be more than EUR12 to the city. you should specifie which extra expences the clients have reserving an hotel through the web pages. We had a fee of 30€ ca. which we didn't know we had to pay. It does not make the difference for a holiday, but as your services are very precise, you should let the clients know it.
