b&b - exterior Bed & Breakfast Villa alle Rampe is located at the foot of Piazzale Michelangelo, just across river Arno from the historic centre of Florence and close to the San Niccolò area, with many characteristic restaurants, wine bars and shops. The villa itself, dating back to the beginning of the 1900's, was completely renovated in 2004 and offers now an impeccable service, with help to arrange the ideal vacation offering everything from bicycle rental and cooking courses to private tours of the city.

The B&B is located in the very centre of this beautiful city and guests can enjoy a drink in one of the well-known cafés close to the property or a pleasant walk to Piazzale Michelangelo, also called Piazzale Belvedere, offering an unforgettable panorama on Florence.

We called ahead to the Villa and told the owner that our train was late and so we'd be running late as a result. She seemed very annoyed by this and was flustered when we arrived. We were given very quick directions about our rooms, breakfast and where exactly we were located. In all, the staff seemed hurried, distracted and was not overly helpful. The rooms were good but a "quad" room was very crowded. For 3 or more days, it's best to book 2 double rooms instead. The bathrooms are tidy but the floor tile has mould throughout the grout. The breakfast is standard (coffee, breakfast pastries, cereal, juice) and the room is very clean and pleasant. The actual building is stunning and tidy. Very easy to find. The immediate location isn't fantastic (it faces directly out to a round-about traffic circle) but the Arno river is across the street and you are a 10 minute walk from the core of Florence. At night, the location is very, very noisy, though the inside of the B&B is very quiet.

Very clean and very well situated but somewhat hard to locate. Walking distance to main attractions is a big plus+++. The room was a bit crowded for four adults. Highly reccommended

Very nice B&B located just at the river Arno. Approx. 25 min. footwalk to the touristic heart of Florence. Free private and save car-park just at the entrance of the B&B. Rooms are of very good style, clean, comfortable, nice bathroom. Breakfast was ok. Nice and helpful owners, hospitality was great. The B&B was very worth it's price, highly recommendable.
A lovely little b&b i would certainly stay there again but if i could change anything it would be to have tea/coffee facilities in the room but otherwise a great place to stay. A little noise from the busy road outside but it did not bother us and a great welcome from Cristina and Jason who were quite helpful.

The host/employee could take more time to explain how to enter the facilities during after-hours, which locks to leave unlocked etc. at the time of making the guests settle down at the facility. There was some confusion on this issue during our stay.
Having visited Firenze twice before we found Alle Rampe very well situated - close to, but not in, the medieval centre. Staff very helpful without being fussy. Local osterias very very good, and not pricey.
This is a marvelous B&B, well placed within easy walking distance to the heart of Florence, but set-off from the busy streets in a quaint neighbourhood. The map and directions were spot-on and having the private parking is a BIG bonus! The host and staff are very pleasant and the facilities are clean and inviting...we only wish we had stayed longer! We definitely recommend Villa Alle Rampe with the highest ratings!
By car From highway A1, exit Firenze sud, continue straight ahead for 3 km, crossing the river. At the end, by the traffic light, turn left towards the river. Continue for another kilometre and follow the indications to piazza Ferrucci, where the B&B is located.From exit Firenze Signa, take the highway Firenze-Pisa-Livorno in the Firenze direction. Follow viale di Circonvallazione until river Arno. Cross the bridge and follow the indications to piazza Ferrucci.From exit Firenze Certosa, go straight ahead until Piazzale Michelangelo (for 5 km). The first square after Piazzale Michelangelo is piazza Ferrucci. By train From Santa Maria Novella railway station, take bus D until the B&B. The bus stops across the street from the structure. By airplane Florence airport is about 9 km from the B&B. Follow the aforementioned driving directions, or take the bus to the central station and then bus D.
Guests can park, for free, in the B&B parking area.
The continental breakfast is served in the breakfast room from 8.30 a.m. until 10.30 a.m.
