hotel outside The gorgeous Foro Appio Hotel Mansio is a unique, historical property which combines rustic charm with every modern commodity. Its interior spaces and rooms are a mix of original architectural elements and antique furniture pieces merged with modern design. The services offered by the hotel include three excellent restaurants serving regional specialities, a bar, and two meeting rooms. Guests are also provided with the wonderful opportunity to participate in ancient popular traditions like dairy production and bread-making, to enjoy a stroll in the park or a boat-ride along the adjacent river.

suite The hotel features 14 characteristic rooms, suites, junior and superior suites, each featuring private bathroom with hairdryer, and equipped with individualy controlled air-conditioning, direct dial telephone, colour TV, Internet connection, safety deposit box, minibar and ironing facilities. Carefully chosen antique furniture pieces, wooden-beam ceilings, and ancient architectural elements are featured in most of the rooms and suites. Some are further equipped with a fireplace and spa-bath, available upon request.
A complimentary buffet breakfast is served in the restaurant between 7.30 a.m. and 10 a.m.

First time in the hotel. What makes it pleasant is the ancient and, yet, modern look

They advertise this hotel as 'gorgeous'. It most definitely is NOT gorgeous! It IS a unique historical building but the outside areas are run down and dirty. It sounds idyllic to have geese wandering around by your bedroom door (which was a ground floor room, opening directly on to the back garden). However the mess from the geese and the millions of mosquitos on the river made it impossible to sit outside in that area. The room had good points -the en-suite and jacuzzi were great and there was Sky TV. The room was sparsely furnished and had no drawers or wardrobe, just a clothes rail. During our 5 days there we ate at the hotel 3 evenings. We asked for a menu but they said one did not exist. We are used to ordering in Italian so that wasn't a problem. At check-out we found that the food, although pleasant, was greatly over-priced. The interior rooms looked clean at first glance, but cobwebs on chairs in the lounge were there all of our stay and the windows in our bedroom were dirty with cobwebs. You do need a car as the hotel is on the Via Appia miles from anywhere.

Unfortunatelly we were only one night, this is a nice place elegant, with a charming atmosphere we enjoyed it and recommend it
By car From the A24 highway, take the A1 highway and proceed along svincolo Frosinone for around 1.1 km, then turn right onto the SS156. After around 40 km, turn right again onto the SS7 and proceed for around 5.2 km. By train The hotel is situated around 7 km from the Latina Scalo railway station. By airplane The Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino airport is about 80 km away.
Free indoor parking is available for guests.The hotel also provides a free shuttle service to and from the Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino airport and to and from the Latina Scalo railway station.
Two well-equipped meeting and conference rooms, featuring characteristic vaulted ceilings, offer a total capacity of around 120 persons.
