exterior - entrance The Wall Street Inn is a lavish hotel located in the heart of New York's financial and business district in Downtown Manhattan, right next to the Stock Exchange on Wall Street and the South Street Seaport. The property is richly and elegantly decorated in a classic early American style and offers top-quality services and amenities. Despite its location, the Wall Street Inn, is not suited to welcome only a business-oriented clientele. Its proximity to such landmarks as the Statue of Liberty and Battery Park, makes it an ideal choice for all those who wish to visit the Big Apple and stay in a comfortable hotel with an elegant and refined ambience. The property features a stylish health club fitted with sauna, steam room and state-of-the-art cardiovascular and circuit training equipment as well as a business center. It features elegantly appointed rooms with two line speaker telephones, private voice mail, free high-speed Internet access and copying, printing and scanning services. Furthermore, fine in-room dining is provided by a partner restaurant. After a recent refurbishment, the hotel was redesigned to be accessible also to the disabled people.

General map
The property is located just 3 blocks south of the world-famous Wall Street, home of the New York Stock Exchange and of various international corporate buildings. Despite an abundance of skyscrapers and tall buildings (this is after all the financial heart of New York) the area also boasts over 30 acres of gardens and playgrounds as well as a one-mile esplanade and views of the Hudson River at Battery Park, where the ruins of the Clinton Castle fort are also located and where you can take a ferry to the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and Staten Island. The other major attraction of the area is the South Street Seaport, a lively venue with over 100 bars, shops and cafès as well as the Maritime Museum where it is also possible to book harbor sails aboard 19th-century schooners. The impressive grid of public transportation allows for a quick and easy access of Manhanttan's other districts and top-spots, such as the Empire State Building, MOMA, Fifth Avenue, the Rockefeller Center and Central Park.

The rooms are great but the hotel location is not really good. Is far from the center (is in the south, skyscrapers and bussines area). You always have to take the metro and it takes at least 1 or 2 days to understand how to use it. Very good breakfast, mainly in weekends (croisants, baggels, cereals, fruit, american coffee, tea, butter, cheese cream ...)

We stayed on a weekend arriving Sat. afternoon and checking out on Sun. AM. We did not take advantage of the included continental breakfast that is offered off the lobby, but it looked fine. The surrounding area is very quiet on weekends, so if you are looking for night life you need to travel a short distance by subway to other areas. Subway stops are conveniently located, as is a parking garage which is directly across the street. South Street Seaport is a few short blocks away. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again. The room was spacious, clean and elegantly appointed; the staff helpful and courteous.

Great hotel - extremely clean, good value, and close to all the lower Manhattan tourist attractions, like the Statue of Liberty and the Museum of the American Indian. Very safe neighborhood. One tip: take a printout of the map showing its location, since taxi drivers have trouble finding this small street.
This was one of the most enjoyable experiences I have ever had in a hotel. Given the location, I assume that the hotel caters to a business clientele. I was there on a weekend in part because of the reduced weekend rate, but I believe that the hotel gives good value even at a higher rate.

Having stayed @ NY hotels previously my expectation levels weren't too high. I have to say how pleasantly surprised I was. The standard of the hotel and rooms was both very high and the location was fantastic. I had seen other reviews mention the noise in the hotel, but I can't imagine how this would ever be the case. The small parade of cafe/restaurants that were closest to the hotel weren't of that nature at all! Would definitely stay again and recommend to others!

The hotel was fine for what I needed, room was clean and location was perfect but the staff are not friendly, breakfast is very basic, gym/sauna etc are all switched off and in more of a store room than a health facility but that said again the hotel met what I needed....nice bar just beside the hotel Ulysees, close to subway and close to battery park (cruises, nice park, statue of liberty view etc)

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel and the Financial district in general. The hotel is in a good position although our driver (Super Shuttle) really struggled to find it-My tip always use a Yellow cab!Our room was very nice the only problem being it was located at the back of the property which faced on to a street with a number of bars which were very noisy in to the night-ask for a front facing room. The free breakfast was v nice and totally unexpected. Staff very friendly and helpful. I would quibble with the free internet service though as we were charged for access to the Business room. My second tip- visit the South Seaport area (think that's what it's called)-very close and a lovely location for a drink, meal or a general wander. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone-it's a great base to explore lower Manhattan-9/11 site/Liberty Island/Battery Park/Walk the Brooklyn Bridge/Wall Street. In fact having later stayed in Upper Manhattan I think I would stay here again and commute up to Time Square area to see the main sights. You must do the Staten Island ferry-great view of Lady Liberty-and for free. However don't make the mistake we made and assume there is anything happening in the ferry area at Staten Island when you get off - there isn't-just get back on the ferry you came in on.

Lovely little hotel nestled in a quiet street just off Wall St and the Staten Island ferry. Very close to subway system. Hotel is sympthatically decorated in a colonial style, very homely. There is a lovely little cobbled street behind with a few bars/restaurants and Delmonicos is directly across the road. I would go back to this hotel. I know that it doesn't have glitzy views of Manhattan but after a very busy day it's a great enviroment to relax in.
This hotel is a true gem! The staff were super, the room very tastefully appointed, the public areas very comfortable and the business office very handy. This is a perfect place to stay in NYC on the weekends.
Very good hotel 50 meters from Wall Street and very close to underground. Cheap in the weekends.

Good weekend price for an excellent Manhattan place. Price stated as "total price" still does not include taxes, which is always surprising for international travelers. AC probably has to be regarded as quiet with respect to the American standard level of noise. Otherwise very quiet.

This ist the best New York deal you can get - on a weekend, when rates drop to 170 Dollars. Question: What else would you get for 170 Dollars in Manhattan? It's a charming boutique hotel with all the amenities you'd expect from a four-star-hotel. It's a quiet, cozy place, close to the subway (Wall Street station, five minutes to Tribeca and Soho) with a perfect pub (Ulysses) on the other side of the street. Loved it and will definitely come back. Even in the week, when rates explode.

Front desk staff rude, not friendly or helpful. Did not know surrounding area (restaurants). The hotel was not busy at all, not willing to upgrade us when asked to be. Our room was on the noisy side of the hotel.

Stayed here for business and was very convenient. At night can get a little loud as it backs up to some restaurants, but overall a great hotel at a great price. Close to the Wall Street subway station as well. Would recommend!

What a find! Highly recommended. Street noise was the only negative.

Very pleasant, clean, quiet room. Nice sized room with great bathroom. Good location near Battery Park. Close to subway. I would stay again.
A perfect place to spend some nice nights in NY. Unless you want to pay less for dirty and bad hostels, Wall Street Inn would match perfectly your needs. We had a great time there; very clean rooms and sophisticated atmosphere in this small hotel made us feel happy. I cannot find anything negative from the time we stepped in to the time we left the hotel. I would recommend it to everybody who can afford a 3 star hotel.
