apartment - living room Avinyó Mansion is a beautiful apartment equipped to comfortably accommodate up to 8 persons, located in the center of Barcelona in the charming, picturesque Gothic Quarter, and a few meters from the probably most famous and lively street in Barcelona, Las Ramblas. The L3 Drassanes and the L4 Jaume I underground stops are within walking distance from the Avinyó Mansion apartment, allowing guests to easily reach other parts of Barcelona. There are also several bus stops located nearby. Avinyó Mansion apartment is housed in a recently renovated historical building without lift, and it is ideal for groups of friends or families who want to spend some days in Barcelona.

The apartment is situated in Avinyó street, a pedestrian street with restricted traffic only at certain hours a day, plenty of trendy bars, ethnic restaurants, and very original shops. Avinyó Mansion is also situated close to the beautiful church of Plaça de la Mercè, and near Plaça Reial and Plaça Sant Jaume squares. The majority of Barcelona most visited attractions are located within walking distance of the apartment, such as Las Ramblas street, the port, Paseo de Colón street, and the entertainment and shopping center Maremagnum. The Picasso Museum, Barceloneta beach, and the Liceu historical opera theater are also worth visiting, and they are not far either from where the apartment stands.
apartment - double room Avinyó Mansion apartment is housed on the 1st floor of a historic building dating back to 1847, with an interior patio and a beautiful marble staircase. The apartment can accommodate up to 8 people. Apartment facilities include an entrance hall with closets, toilet, comfortable dining area with table and chairs for eight people, large living room with two sofa-beds and satellite TV, 2 double bedrooms, a complete bathroom with tub and hairdryer. A fully equipped kitchen with oven, fridge, iron, coffee machine, juice maker, toaster, microwave, and a vitro ceramic cook top is also at your disposal. The apartment windows are all double-glassed and Avinyó Mansion also features individually controlled air conditioning and heating. Towels and bed linen are provided, and there are baby cots available on request too.

The location was excellent being near to cafes and bars in the old area and having lots of atmosphere, however there were a number of things in the apartment which were faulty: both shower fittings were broken, there were several light bulbs not working, a number of cracked porcelain items in the kitchen and a burnt out non-functioning kettle. We were warmly welcomed by the 'owner' (who had not been to the property before) and the transactions were handled very professionally by her. Unlike staying in a hotel, there is a degree of freedom in staying in an apartment, but there is also no ready means of bringing problems to the attention of the owner, especially when language is an issue.

A fabulous location in the heart of the Gothic quarter. But coming off the street, you may think you've booked yourself into a total dump -- a graffiti-scarred door opening onto a run-down inner courtyard filled with construction materials (please step over the dead pigeon). But take a minute to climb the one flight of stairs and unlock the door, and you'll find yourself in an apartment that's gorgeous and totally updated -- exposed brick, great lighting, modern (if straight-from-Ikea) furnishings and decoration, and a highly-functional kitchen. Our group (two couples) loved the place, although the moderate street noise at night might bother some folks, given that both bedrooms' windows open onto a busy pedestrian throughfare that's active with revellers well into the wee hours. Note that this is NOT a hotel, but is owned by a private landlord who rents out a string of such apartments. Read the fine print carefully -- the reservation and payment processes are NOT the usual for Venere, but involve a string of emails, an advance deposit and booking fee, and faxing signed forms to Spain. On arrival, you will need to pay the entire rental charge, a 52 Euro cleaning fee, PLUS an extra 200 Euro cash deposit, which is refunded when you leave. Nonetheless, to us it represented a good value -- and far nicer interior digs -- compared to the cost of two hotel rooms.

From Barcelona-El Prat International Airport By carTake Ronda Litoral highway and exit at Vila OlÃmpica. Continue driving until the centre, then continue until Passeig de Colom street, and turn into Via Laietana avenue. You will find the apartment on your left.By busTake the Aerobús bus shuttle to the center and get off at Plaça Catalunya square. Once there, the easiest way to get to the apartment is taking a taxi (it will cost you about AC;5,00). However, you can also take the underground to L4 Jaume I or L3 Drassanes and walk about 5 minutes.By trainTake any train to the center at the RENFE train station at the airport, and get off at Plaça Catalunya. Then follow the aforementioned indications. By train From Barcelona-Sants train station take underground L3 until you get to Drassanes stop. It will take you 5 minutes only to walk to the apartment from there. By ship The Barcelona harbour is near the Drassanes underground stop, and very near to the apartment itself too. You can just walk to the apartment, it will take you no more than 10-15 minutes.
METHODS OF PAYMENT Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel. In case your chosen hotel needs a deposit, this information will be included in the "Cancellation policy" section and the deposit will have to be settled directly with the pre-selected property. You cannot cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a non refundable or prepaid rate.
CHECK IN & CHECK OUT Check-in: check-in is possible between midday and 7 p.m. to avoid an early/late arrival fee of AC;20,00 to AC;50,00; guests arriving outside these hours must contact the property in advance to arrange a check-in time. Check-out: it is necessary to leave the apartments not later than midday. INCLUDED/NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE Cleaning service is not included and it costs AC;45,00.A refundable deposit of AC;200,00 is required. Minimum stay: 3 days, except in high season, when the minimum stay is 7 days. (High season includes: July and August; New Year's Eve; Christmas; Easter; Purisima holidays (3rd to 10th December); other important celebrations, fairs and congresses periods).
CANCELLATION POLICY 30% prepayment to confirm the reservation. If you cancel with less than 2 months before your arrival date, prepayment (usually 30%) will not be refunded. Cleaning service: 52€ 20€ extra for check-in or check-out between 23pm and 7am.You may cancel your reservation without penalty up until 30 days before your arrival date, by accessing the Your Reservations page. You cannot cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a non refundable or prepaid rate.
