The owner couple were very kind, and they gave me a free ride from the airport and also back to bus terminal. The apartment had two bedrooms. (One was double and another was single room.) Location was 10 to 15 minuites from city center, but not so far, and surrounded area was quiet.

The first time we've rented a flat instead of staying in a hotel and it was great. Extremely good value, and great to have a washing machine and ample hanging out space on the balcony. We were met at the train station at no charge despite our train being severely delayed.

Great place to stay for a few days - plenty of room, good bathroom, close to the centre of Split (5 min. walk) and close to shops and cafes. We had no idea where the apartment was so we asked at the airport and they rang Josep and he met us at the bus terminal and drove us home. This was great after a flight from Rome and then an even longer trip from the airport by the bus (the taxis are very expensive from the airport). The apartment was all it was supposed to be and more. A great place to stay!

I stayed there for a conference. I was pleasantly supprised by the good condition of the apartment. It is very conveniently located, about 5 minutes to the old town and the palace. Strongly recommended.

Superb hospitality provided by host Joseph. Great location. 10 minute walk to waterfront and the Palace. We plan to stay on our next trip. As with all apartments we stayed in, there is a cash only policy which is not stated clearly enough by Venere. Can cause a problem if you're not prepared.

We were met at the airport by the very friendly owner and were made to feel very welcome. Arriving at the apartment, it was very spacious and the air conditioning made for a very comfortable night sleep. It was great to have a kitchen and lounge room too as opposed to a more expensive hotel room with only a bedroom. We used this as our base for pre and post cruise accommodation in Split. The owner even dropped us off at a shopping centre nearby on our second stay.

We were treated very well by our host Josip once we established contact which was not without a lot of effort via phone calls and voice messages. We phoned to confirm our booking and the possibility of transport to the apartment the day before and had no response. On arrival in Split another phone call was to a message service to which we received a response within 10 mins and from then on it was fantastic. Just felt the uncertainty of confirmation after a strenuous journey was not very professional.

We would highly recommend Split Apartments and thought it was very good value. We had a rocky start to our stay when the ATM machine at the airport sucked in my key card. You need to take your card within 15 seconds or it disappears. The owner of the apartment,Josip, went out of his way to help me get the card back.We hope to return to Split and would stay there again.

Thanks to a 5 hour delyed flight, we landed in Split at 2.30 in the morning. So appreciative to be met by Josef who drove us to our apartment, while others stood in line for a taxi. Thanks Josef for all your help, and especially your advice about Bol (Brac). Good wine region too! Was definitely worth the trip.

The owner Josip upon arrival picked me up early in the morning and upon leaving drove me to the Ferry building. His daughter Adriana was very helpful with recommendations on places to visit nearby like Trogir and Bol. A first class place with very friendly and helpful people involved. Split Apartments is a fantastic option for all types of travelers. I arranged this for myself and my parents and it was a perfect layout for our family. The apartments are beautiful and Joseph is an amazing host and treats you like one of his family. He even drove us to dinner because it was starting to rain and made sure we had a map and gave us suggestions. Everything is in walking distance from the apartments. I highly recommend Split Apartments.

We stayed at the Split Apartments in October 2007. We were thrilled that the manager picked us up at the ferry terminal and took us to our apartment and just as happy and satisfied with the apartment which was clean, very convenient to everything, and a great value for the price. When we asked if there was a coffee pot, one was found and brought to us. When we needed an alarm clock, one was produced. We were treated as though we were valued members of the family and had just a wonderful time in Split because of this. Imagine our surprise when we asked that the manager call us a cab for a VERY early flight and we didnt get a cab but the manager himself which made our entire trip special. We recommend the Split Apartments to all and may you enjoy your time there as much as we did.

We were only at the apartment for a short time but we really enjoyed our stay. The owner was lovely and picked us up from the bus station and then dropped us off when we left. The apartment was very clean and confortable, and was only a 5 minute walk from the centre of Split. Would definately stay there again.

From being met at the door to the Apartment building at 22:00 the first evening (and the owner was waiting for us, we didn't even have to ring the apartment) our stay was just as we had read in the recent reviews of the Apartments. We soon found the Supermarkets & other amenities as described in previous reports & were able to fill the fridge with drinks , food & bread to make breakfast a relaxed time of day! Again everything was in walking distance, it only takes about 5 minutes to reach the pedestrianised Central shopping / tourist area. Definately a solid base for sightseeing in the split area, we especially enjoyed a day trip by ferry to the lovely island & town of Hvar and an even more enjoyable trip to Sibenik which has a mazey medieval old town & Cathedral. The owner of the Split Apartments is a former resident of Hvar and is a mine of information on the local islands.

Joseph the owner was very friendly and helpful. The apartment was well equipped. There are several flights of stairs to the apartment and no lift so may not be suitable for older or disabled people. We were very happy with the apartment and would stay there again if we go back to Split.

A great place to stay. Very handy location, plenty of room and immaculately clean. Very warm welcome from owner who was happy to meet us in town from the Croatian Airlines bus (recommended as not the easiest place to find). Some tourist info available in the apartment plus owner happy to advise - nice homemade liqueur too!

The apartment was in a quiet residential area about 10 minutes walk from the old town. Although the apartments appear basic from the outside the interior was spacious and clean with comfortable beds. A short distance away is a small shopping centre with a supermarket, baker, cafe etc. We found the location ideal as we like to be within walking distance of the main sites but sufficiently far away to get a peaceful nights sleep. Would definitely stay there again.

Booked this on the basis of previous reviews, and wasnt disappointed. our host met us at the bus stop, even though it was about 10.30pm, took us in for coffee whilst registering our details. was very helpful in advising us where to go, and when we were unable to book him for the last night of our stay (he was booked already) he also phoned a few people to see if they had free accomodation. the apartment is very light, clean and spacious, with modern kitchen and bathroom. was very handy for the centre, only about 10 mins to shopping, though about 20 mins to the ferry port walking. Definately the best apartment of the three in which we stayed during our holiday.

This place had a full stocked apartment that was a joy to have with a full sized fridge and washer(which we never say anywhere else). Josef was a great host and very helpfult to use with directions and advice. Very strongly recommend this place to anyone.

Split apartments were fantastic. Josip, the owner greeted us at the bus stop/marina. He was very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble, he even offered us home made liquor which was great.The place was HUGE and CLEAN beyond my expectations. It had everything, a complete one bedroom unit with full size kitchen, bathroom inc. washing machine, excellent, a/c, balcony. I could go on and on. We walked everywhere. the main strip was about 15mins walk and the beach about 20- 30mins.This place is so close to everything and staying at the apartments made our trip to Split so much better. I highly recommend the Split Apt - a great place for a family (quiet, safe, kit, laundry, 2 bd). A quick 10 min walk to Diocletian's Palace kept us in a quiet neighborhood, yet close to the action. The proprietor is extremely kind and helpful.

Staying at the Split Apartments was a wonderful experience. Josip (the owner) picked us up at the train station and took us to the apartments. He served us coffee while he took care of the paper work. He shared information about the town of Split and helped us see all the sights. The apartment had a great view, was large, and well appointed. Josip lives downstairs so he is there to help if needed. Josip also took us to the bus station when it was time to leave. He is a wonderful host I would stay there again anytime!

We were extremely happy with our stay in Split apartments. The owners, who live in an apartment just one floor up, were very welcoming and incredibly helpful. My boyfriend suddenly came down with a high fever during our visit and the owners gave us a thermometer and aspirin and insisted we call them if we needed any help. Eventually, we needed to see a doctor (on a Sunday night), and the owner was so incredibly kind, he came back to the apartment though he was out somewhere else as soon as we called. He drove us to the local hospital, waited with us, and helped us in talking w/the doctor. Then he stopped at an all-night pharmacy on the way home so we could pick up medication. We felt incredibly lucky to be staying with such nice people when he got sick. And, the apartment was lovely - clean, nicely furnished, with a nice selection of kitchen dishes and utensils (you don't always get everything you need in rental apartments, but they had it). The location was also very nice - in a quieter residential area, but just a short walk to the old town and harbor. The owners also arranged a less-expensive-than-taxi ride to the airport for us with a very friendly and charming driver. I highly recommend this apt. - especially at such a reasonable price.

A spacious and very clean apartment with excellent, modern amenities. Also the owner and agent were very friendly and obliging. The property is a 10-15 minute walk from the waterfront. This is not a real inconvenience,in fact a small price to pay for quality accommodation. The apartment is not on a major road so a map giving directions might assist prospective tenants. However, the agent will offer pickup from the bus centre.

We had a wonderful stay there. It is only a 10 minute walk to the old town. We were picked up at the port by the owner who was very helpful and welcoming. The rooms were very clean and the apartment overall was spacious. I would definitely recommend staying there.

The apartment is located in a residential area that felt very safe, we had no qualms about leaving our car hire on the street outside. It was spacious, with an large new bathroom with power shower and washing machine. It is only a 10 minute walk into Split old town and there is a market and local convenience stores close by. The people who own the apartment are very welcoming and hospitable. They are happy to provide advice about Split and the local islands. A home from home.

It would have been better if we had known the apartment number at the address we were given, we had to call to reach the party which was only a few meters from where we parked but we had to telephone and we had no phone and no phone card to us a public phone. We found a person willing to call for us on his cell phone (he charged us 10 Kr).

A real find. Would stay again. The family were so welcoming and helpful, even picking my sister up at 1 in the morning when her plane was delayed, and booking ferries for us. The apartment is roomy, comfortable and well set up and the airconditioning works well. Essential in Split!

This flat was fabulous, and the staff was unbelievably friendly & helpful. We were picked up at the airport, and Adriana had lots of great advice for places to go & things to do while we were in Split. She even went so far as to take us to see a great view of the city & give us an orientation of the town. I would strongly encourage visitors to Split to stay here

This apartment by far exceeded our expectations. We were met by our gracious host Josep at the bus station and driven to the apartment. It was very clean, spacious, bright and cheerful. It had a full size kitchen and a good size bathroom. The two bedrooms had a twin bed in one and queen in the other. The apartment is located in a very safe residential area. It was a short and pleasant 5-10 minute walk into town. I would highly recommend this accomodation and plan on returning on my next vacation to croatia!!

The accommodation is a pleasant flat on the fith floor of a clean and modern block of flats close to the old town. The owner and her family live downstairs and she speaks very good English and Spanish. We were picked up from the airport coach and taken back to the airport coach stop at 8am in the morning. The owner was very helpful in telling us about the area, facilities, tourist attractions ect which assisted us a great deal in our visit.

Our apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable. It was located in a building five minutes' walk from old town. Adriana provided us with a lot of information on restaurants, things to see, and driving directions. She was available to answer questions as needed, and even met us at the ferry to help direct us to the building. We were very happy with our stay and recommend the place highly.

We absolutely loved this apartment. It looks a little questionable from the outside, but the location is great and the apartment owner was MORE than accomodating. I would go back to this place in a second. There is a ton of space in the apartment and it was in great shape. Super find!!
