The location of Hotel Cesari is great - right in the middle of everything. We easily walked everywhere and were happy to be in the middle of the historical area of Rome. Even though we were in the middle of everything, the room was soundproof, which was very nice. The breakfast was served on the roofdeck of the hotel, which was a great way to start the day. The breakfast buffet was pretty standard, maybe a bit above average. The Cesari staff was extremely helpful in offering guidance and making reservations.
What a wonderful hotel! We were able to get a spacious quad room (with three beds, one king for us and two twins for the kids) located between the Pantheon and the Trevi fountain (~ 200 meters from both) which was also within walking distance of Piazza Navona, the colleseum/Forum, the Spanish steps and the metro station for the Vatican. The front desk was also able to recommend a fabulous tour company of the Vatican Museum (and the Sistine Chapel) which saved us waiting 3 hrs in the hot August sun and our tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly, english speaking and funny which even my 11 year old son enjoyed ( the only museum tour in Italy he did truly enjoyed). I'd recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Rome. The staff was very friendly, spoke english well and had great recommendations for restaurants nearby the hotel. This was our final stop in Italy and we're thankful to have ended our trip on such a high note.

The new terrace is magnificent! Not much to improve now, a very nice hotel with the best of locations in Rome

ein sehr schönes ansprechendes Hotel mit sehr nettem und zuvorkommenden Personal, und einer wunderschönen Dachterasse mit Blick auf das Pantheon. Habe meinen nächsten Aufenthalt bereits gebucht!

This hotel was at the PERFECT location:a few blocks from Pantheon, few blocks from Trevi Fountain, 15-20min. walk to Colloseum and Forum, 10min.to Piazza Navona and many cute little sidewalk cafes.Even walked back from the Vatican after a tour there. The rooftop patio was a great place to start the day (with the included buffet breakfast of meats, cheeses, fruit, juices)overlooking Rome.We had a quadruple room(traveled with our 2 teenagers)and everyone had plenty of space. This was not a modern hotel, but instead was very quaint and typical of the area. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be in the center of everything in Rome.

I got a very fine room. The personal was very friendly. This is a perfect hotel for a single traveller in Roma. It is near everything, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Trevi fountain, Piazza del Popolo. Via del Corso and Via Condoti – for thou who want to shop or do some windows shopping.

the single room is really small and the bathroom narro, so if you plan to stay for more than 1 day choose a double also if you are alone.....

We enjoyed our stay there. The hotel was convenient to the Pantheon, Piazza Navrona and virtually all of the city, and the staff klnowledgable and friendly. The room was small but we had expected that. the rooftop terrace is a very pleasant place to have breakfast.
We could not have been happier with Albergo Cesari. It is in an excellent location, in the historical core of Rome--just blocks from the Pantheon. As such, it is surrounded by cobblestone streets, outdoor cafes, shopping, and, of course, spectacular sites. Despite its central location, it was extremely quiet. The room was clean and attractive, with excellent air conditioning (a must in Rome in the summer) and bathroom facilities. Perhaps the best feature was a BEAUTIFUL rooftop terrace, where breakfast was served in the mornings and drinks were served at night. The breakfast was the best we had in two weeks of traveling in Italy. All this for the same price--or less--than we paid at other hotels we stayed in. We will definitely return to Albergo Cesari.
Albergo Cesari is a wonderful hotel with an absolutely stellar location. Within 3 minutes in one direction, you find the Trevi Fountain, three minutes in the other direction, you are standing in front of the Pantheon. The rooms were clean and had many additional ammenities. Out our windows we could watch the activity of foot traffic and several restaurants. The thick windows provided excellent insulation from the noise below and the staff was friendly and helpful. The rooftop breakfast and lounge area was not only breathtaking, but the variety of foods was delicious and the wait staff was superb. We stayed here for our very first two nights in Italy and found that this hotel and location created a standard of expectation that we rarely found in our other hotels in different cities. In other words, we were spoiled. My friend and I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Italy as it was within walking distance of virtually every point of interest within the city.

Staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. Rooms were quite small and, although Rome is expensive, seemed somewhat overpriced. Lack of bathtub was a particular disappointment. Rooftop bar/breakfast room was lovely. Location is unbeatable, close to Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, and Ancient Rome.
I will return for sure to this hotel! It has been a lovely stay and I will recommend to my friends as well. Very well located, very clean and good breakfast options. NL(Spain)
Having been to Rome before we chose Hotel Cesari because of it's good reviews and were not disappointed. The staff are friendly and helpful. The roof terrace is a great place for a big breakfast, and should now be open for relaxing on later in the day.It is ideally sited for walking to Trevi Fountain etc. Some street noise if you leave the windows open, but that's Rome. We would stay again.
Very comfortable, excellent location, reasonable prices.

Excellent location for all the tourist sights with plenty of restuarants and bars within easy walking distance. The hotel has a lovely roof terrace/breakfast room.
7.8
Location! Could not ask for a more central hotel, around the corner from Trevi fountain, Pantheon, on Via del Corso, perfect! Went on to stay in 5* hotel (with work) and Cesari was better located, had tea/coffee, complimentary water etc, several things which the 5* lacked. Rooms are on smaller side but you are not staying in Rome to see the inside of a hotel bedroom. Breakfast was fabulous (again better than 5*) and roof top terrace was a welcome surprise! Overall I would use this hotel again and would recommend it to friends, which I suppose is one of the best ways of grading a hotel!
9.9
Excellent small family run hotel. Staff very helpfull and friendly. Bespoke Breakfast/Garden terrace very good. The central location is perfect for all the main tourist attractions, most of which are in walking distance. We will be visiting again and are already recommending this hotel to freinds and family. Many Thanks to ALL at the Hotel Cesari.
9.1
very friendly personal!
We got a very nice room with a lot of space compared to many other hotels in central Rome. The new, very modern and beautiful breakfast room was recently opened at the top floor with possibility to use also the roof terrace which has a beautiful view over the surroundings. Excellent breakfast buffet. Very central and "close to everything". We will definitely return to Albergo Cesà ri.
8.6
Spacious room (double, single use), quite, well located in the heart of the historical centre. good value for money. The breakfast room is very small, risk of 'traffic jam' during peak hours
7.6
Great location. Friendly staff. Clean. Very thin walls. Bring ear plugs.
I have stayed at Cesari many times, the location is perfect for walking in Rome. The rooms are small but most of the time I am out seeing all the art and architecture of Rome. The staff has always been welcoming and helpful to me and tolerant of my misprounciation of Italian vowels!
We received a handicapped room without asking for one, so we were pleasantly surprised when we walked into an absolutely spacious corner room. We were within walking distance of the Trevi fountain, the Pantheon, and even the Colosseum, but that was a bit of a hike. Very safe neighborhood, and the staff was exceptionally helpful. The walls are PAPER-THIN, though, so don't expect to sleep in. In fact, we tried to sleep in one morning because we had gotten food poisoning the night before, and the maid WALKED into our room, even though there was a privacy notice on the door knob! Overall, though, we were quite pleased with the hotel, and would gladly go back.
Perfect location. Rooms excellent. Breakfast wonderful. Staff could have been a little more welcoming but were usually helpful.
The location of this hotel could not be better. The room itself was large and comfortable. When the windows were closed, all street noise ceased. The bathroom was large as well, although the shower stall could have been bigger. Drainage was slow as well and we had to be careful to not let water overflow onto the bathroom floor, even with the high lip around the stall. More English language TV stations would be a good addition to the great satellite reception. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful when asked. However, they are clearly not used to being asked to make restaurant reservations (which they willingly did when asked) or to provide expertise. There was construction going on in the back area of the hotel which, while not interfering with our stay in the least (no noise or evidence of work in the main area), had the roof deck closed off. The remaining common areas (ie; bar, lounge) in the lobby are small and basically unused. No effort is made to encourage their usage either. All in all, the location and room itself were well worth staying here but there arent any real frills for those who are used to such things.
The hotel entrance was inviting. We were welcomed with a smile and good wishes for a pleasant stay. Our non-smoking, quiet room was clean and fresh and there was ample space for us to open our bags. The bed was comfortable Breakfast was enjoyable and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
THE HOTEL IS WELL LOCATED, THE ROOM IS VERY BIG COMPARE TO OTHER HOTEL THAT I DID STAY. THE BREAKFAST ROOM IS VERY SMALL AND HARD TO MOVE AROUND, ALSO THE BREAKFAST WAS COLD AND LIMITED COMPARE TO OTHER HOTEL THAT I STAY. BUT CUSTOMER SERVICES IS GREAT AND VERY FIENDLY.

Evening receptionist not very "smiling". To few English speaking channels, pay per view to expensive.
We had a twin bedded room where the beds were unusually in separate but attached rooms which for one night was not a problem. The staff were exceptionally friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Overall a good value hotel
6.2
Hotel is between Pantheon and Trevi, so very convenient. Not too far to walk to most sites. Generally ok, though rooms and bathroom could be spruced up.
The staff was extremely helpful and professional. The room's amenities were ample and varied. We had a wonderful stay.
We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel, standards are very high in terms of both the room and the staff. Staff were unfailingly polite and helpful. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean and the air con was very welcome. The hotel is in an excellent location very near to both the impressive Pantheon and the Trevi fountain. All of the major sights and areas of the city are within easy walking distance and there are a whole range of restaurants and ice cream places very close too. There was building work going on at the front of the hotel during our stay but it was not too intrusive. We really recommend this hotel, good value for money in a top location. We'd definitely go back!
right where tthey said it was. very central to walking everywhere. Hotel was great as was the breakfast. We had a superior double room. We were only sorry the rooftop was not open yet.
9.7
The Cesari was an absolute delight! The location was central to most major Roman areas. We were able to walk almost anywhere from the hotel. The staff was courteous, knowledgable, friendly and professional - offering solid recommendations on any subject. Our room was very large - we were fortunate as a couple to receive a "family" room. The bathroom was spacious and well-equipped. Breakfast was a delight! An outstanding assortment of pastries, meats, juices and cheese. Capuccino was perfect, served by two wonderful Italian hostesses who worked very hard to please the guests. We will stay here again without hesitation - fantastic hotel!
This hotel has a fantastic location, and is central to all of Romes highlights! This was reflected in the price but it was Holy Week when we went. The breakfast room is a bit small but the food is plentiful. Rooms are just big enough but arent soundproof - all noises from either side can be heard! But no noise from above! All sounds abit of a downer but the staff were lovely and the hotel was clean and efficiently run. Its definately worth getting their own taxi service as the taxi from the airport cost 60euros. There was some renovation work going on on the outside of the building and they started around 7.30am it didnt bother us too much as the weather was cool, but had it been any hotter we wouldn't have been able to open the windows because of the workmen on your windowsill!! All in all an excellently located hotel for a lovely stay. We would all highly recommend this hotel and we all intend to return to Rome having thrown our coins into the fountain!
2.8
The hotel was under renovation when we arrived (which was not stated at the time we booked the room), the staff was not friendly nor flexible, breakfast was of poor quality (expired products in the buffet), our room was noisy (vacuum-cleaner of the maid) : overpriced hotel to be disconsidered for romantic and peaceful stays
I had read mixed reviews about the hotel, but the location seemed ideal. Upon arrival, the Hotel Cesari far exceeded my expectations. Our room was huge, even by Italian standards, and tastefully decorated with a very large bathroom. There was some renovation in progress, so we were given a 20% discount on the room. Our luggage was lost on the way over, and the staff at the front desk bent over backwards to make phone calls and try and sort things out with Alitalia. They could not have been more helpful. Some of the reviews cited the small breakfast room, and to be sure, it was not spacious, but the quality and variety of food offered more than made up for this. I have never seen such a breakfast spread in an Italian hotel! And the location of the hotel is perfect for seeing the historic sights in the center of Rome. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel.
This is my favorite hotel in Rome. It's not high luxury--just clean, comfortable, and very well located. The staff is very helpful. There is free internet in the lobby (this may be expanded with the current renovation).

We Enjoyed our stay despite a mixup regarding our reservations . staf member tried to convince me it was our mistake. Had to contact manager who realized it was not our fault and gave a bottle of prosecco as a gift.good location and a better than average hodtel
9.2
This hotel was on the expensive side but the location was ideal and made it well worth it. The room was clean, though small. The breakfast was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to others.
With one exception the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. the breakfast room is a bit on the small side but this is not really a problem given the amount of time one spends there. the hotel is centrally located in the heart of the old city. We will definitely stay there again.
6.5
The hotel is well located, close to the Pantheon, and so near from Piazza Navonna, Piazza Spagna and Fontana di Trevi. The noise of the street is so high, and it's difficult to sleep. The worst thing is the breakfast, because the room where is served, is very small and narrow. It's incredible! The rest of the hotel and the personnel is excellent, but you cannot have the breakfast with confortability. I didn't understand why!
I have stayed in several hotels in the historic center of Rome but this is the one I would return to without hesitation. Location perfect for walking to all the major sights, staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast more than adequate.
7.4
Comfortable hotel. Well situated.
Great location, close to all main attractions, informative, friendly staff, nice clean rooms, internet access and hot water for tea, coffee in the room.
Room for breakfast is to small, but we are told it will be enlarged this summer. The breakfast very good. We will choose this hotel the next time, we go to Rome. It must be the best recommendation. The position is perfekt.
We stayed for three nights at the end of Feb 2006. Excellent Hotel. Room lovely and warm. Ideal location for visiting all major sights on foot. Lovely breakfast, though breakfast room was rather small! Would definitely stay there again.
Great location and quality exceeded 3 star standard published. All facilities excellent, intimate breakfast room with efficient and friendly service. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Location 100 yds from Trevi Fountain and 150 yards from Pantheon couldn't have been more central with everything within walking reach. Hotel organised transport to Fiumcino Airport also value for money compared to train/taxi, certainly for a group of 4 or more. You should definitely stay here if at all possible.
The Hotel's location is excellent. The street below can be noisy, but that is the price you pay for being located in the center of the historic city. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good and provided a great start to each day's wanderings. One minor negative point: our bathroom smelled a bit like mildew (at least I think that is what it was). Overall, we would definitely stay at Cesari again and highly recommend it to others.

By car Rome's city-centre is easily accessed via the Grande Raccordo Anulare which is connected to all the main highways; follow the directions from any point of the Raccordo to the Centro. However, keep in mind that in a large section of the historic centre, or Centro Storico, private cars are not allowed. Moreover, parking is metered in much of the city and available spaces are limited and difficult to find, therefore it is strongly recommended that you drive in Rome only when it is absolutely necessary. By train The hotel is very well-connected by public transport. The closest subway stations are Barberini on the A Line and Colosseo on the B Line. However, the easiest way to reach the hotel from the Roma Termini railway station is to take bus number 175 in the direction of Partigiani, and get off around nine stops later at the Corso-Minghetti stop. By airplane The Roma Fiumicino airport is about 30 km from the hotel and is well connected to the city by highway and express train service.
The cosy hotel bar, serving an excellent selection of drinks and cocktails, is open Monday to Saturday from 5 p.m until midnight.
