b&b - exterior The Bed & Breakfast Residenza Strozzi is situated in the south-east of Florence, easily reachable from the historic centre of the city, immersed in the peace and quiet of Tuscany's countryside, at the foot of the Settignano hills in a marvellous environment, surrounded by meadows and olive groves. The B&B is located inside the Strozzi- Riccardi 15th century estate, in the middle of a large property of 10 hectares of protected land, very close to the city. A tree-lined avenue gives access to the villa and the other residences. Around this property, one can admire the magnificent park. A dinner with a typical Tuscan menu and wine tasting is available on request. Due to its strategic position, the most famous and artistic sights of Florence, Fiesole and Settignano, can be easily reached.

double room The structure has 2 double rooms. All rooms are furnished with antiques and feature private bathroom with hairdryer. The accommodations are furthermore equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV, direct dial telephone, heating and ADSL Internet connection. The rooms have a panoramic view over the garden.
The continental breakfast is served from 7 a.m. until 9 a.m. in the kitchen.
Gui and his wife are very nice, cordial and helpful. They go the extra step to make your stay a good one. Make sure you tell them when you intend to arrive so they can help you find the villa. Tree lined country like drive way/entrance to the villa. The apartment has alot of Italian character, painted walls and cozy feeling. Clean rooms and nice bathroom. Shower small but usable. Nice functional kitchen and fridge. A/C works well. I strongly advise to use GOOGLE EARTH or equivalent plus a good map of Italy ahead of time to familiarize yourself with locations and directions (all around Italy as well). Can't say enough about how beautiful the area around Firenze is and the art and culture found there. Plan to go to major art museums (Uffizi etc,) very early before tour buses swamp the place in the city. We used a rental car throughout Italy as well as getting to Strozzi. We drove to Firenze and parked just outside of the main part of the city along the river, and walked from there. Expect to do alot of walking and use comfortable shoes/sneakers. You will thoughroughly enjoy staying at Strozzi and I would recommend it.
By car The hotel is easily reachable by the motorway A1, exit Firenze Sud. Follow the indications for the city centre for about 3 km. Take the Ponte Varlungo bridge, turn left at the traffic lights and take via Enrico De Nicola until you reach a roundabout. Then turn right in via della Casaccia and continue along via del Gignoro until you reach the Museo del Calcio museum. Then turn right into viale Aldo Palazzecchi until it changes its name and becomes via Della Torre. The main entrance is in via della Torre n.° 50.
The B&B has an outdoor private parking.
