Never before we have found for such a low price such a nice location in carefully arranged surroundings. Service was needed by us during our stay: It was prompt and competent.

The apartment is situated in an excellent (picturesque)location in the old town just minutes away from one of the main streets. My wife and I were very pleased with the unusual layout of the property and it certainly proved to be excellent value for money. Incidentally, Cefalu is a fascinating picturesque old town with lots of charm. Highly recommended.

Overall we were very happy with our accomodation. We were unlucky in that it Cefalu had suffered two days torrential rain before our arrival and Apartemento Sottomura had suffered extensive flooding. As a result we were immediately offered alternative accomodation in in another apartment closer to the beach and harbour. Andreas the rental company rep. was very welcoming, friendly and helpful and the alternative apartment was perfect. Very clean and well looked after. It had a lovely balcony with a sea view. My only criticisms were that as it was early April and the weather was not all that hot we could have done with being provided with a heater of some description. I was also a bit taken aback by the fact that we were expected to pay up front for our stay and that the rep. would only accept cash payment. Also I am very impressed with Venere and will make use of this service in the future.

The apartment was fantastic, having worked in Cefalu before It was a fantastic location right in the heart of everything. It was clean and very spacious, the only problem we had was actually finding it, we found no 26 and it was a burnt out apartment! but we were pleasantly surprised on finding Sottomura. We had a fantastic holiday. Thanks

It's small apartment, but fine for two, with low ceilings so if you are over 5 foot 10 you will be stooping. There is a nice terrace and garden too. It's up a rather steep hill but it very central with the beach only 5 minutes or the Duomo 5 minutes walk. Cleaning and sheets cost an extra €30 euro which isn't clearon the website but the agency did explain this before we confirmed. All in all a nice small apartment, central and reasonably priced.

Nice terrace. Flat damp and thus smelly, especially bathroom, kitchen and blankets. Kitchen poorly equiped, dished not clean.

We did not get what we booked, had to move around between three different places in Cefalu. Most of the time without air-condition. Watch out for the "owner" of Sottomura and Piazetta in Cefalu (Massimo Provenza), a disonest person who promises a lot but fulfils practically nothing.

The accomodation was OK. Because the head height of the property is quite low, it seemed a little cramped for someone over 6 feet tall (1.86m). However, the location close to the town was very good. One problem was that on the first night the accomodation was not available. There may have been a double booking. We were given alternative accomodation but this was not very acceptable. We feel that we should have been given a full refund of one night's accomodation
