It was overall a pleasant stay. The hotel is nice but is located far away from Budapest downtown. If you travel by car and you don't have a GPS gadget you may easily get lost while looking for the establishment. Price of the restaurant are a little bit spicy, but all-in-all I would recomend this hotel.
In-room air conditioner is very noisy; you cannot slip with it turned on; also, the air conditioner is under dimensioned... so, even if it's putted on max, is still too hot in the room in hot days.

Same thing with the air conditioner (noisy and under dimensioned). I had to tell receptionist that I will cancel my stay to give me the internet cable. BTW! No wireless in the hotel, but wired internet available (if they want to provide you the cable)

It is far from the centre of city of Buda site, but compare with the quality and price. It is a good choice.

very good hotel, spacious room, swimming pool free. Very good but you need a car.
the olnly real problem for our stay have been the impossibility to have the full dark in the room. We had the sun light from 6 00 am.

breakfast very poor, not for 3 stars

Way out in the suburbs and the highway exit for it was closed for construction when we were there which made finding it difficult. Trains nearby ran at night but the hotel itself is lovely and the rooms quite spacious. Didn't get to swim in the pool but it looked inviting. Internet service was free and they even lend you a cable.
Hotel was clean, pool, sauna, jaccuzzi also. restaurant for breakfast en evening very good. only compliments, just a bit too far of Budapest.

We spent three nights, we like very much swiming pool and nice cooking , breakfeast and so one. welcoming very nice. To verify water in the bathroom, the hot and cold shawer...

Aquarius is a wonderful hotel: courteous staff, clean, attractive facilities. The pool/sauna area closed a bit early (9pm). The hotel is far enough away from the center of Budapest that access on public transportation is difficult and time consuming. Perfect place to stay if you're driving and want to be outside the city.
nice courtyard and building hard to find, bad acces, broken road

Very nice and excellent quality. Hotel must have a service (taxi or hotel service) to pick up client at airport or at rail station to provide some taxi (mafia taxi, I had a bad experience there at Budapest with a taxi to go to hotel from rail station). Good hotel to spend vacation there even too far from Budapest. Hotel is notà t Budapest, it must be clear on website and indicate to client ransportation to city. Congratulations to all team at hotel.

The hotel is much further from the city centre than the website implies. We would take the bus in, a true taste of local culture, but often returned by taxi as the buses in the city were too busy and it rained the whole three days! The service is excellent and we enjoyed the evening meals but would have eaten out if the hotel was not in the middle of nowhere. Some toiletries in the bathroom would have been appreciated, especially if it is trying to be four star.
Friendly staff & great facilities. A bit of a trek to the centre of Budapest and building work going on in the neghbourhood but we were still really pleased with our stay. Recommended.
By car The hotel is located in the southern section of the city and is easy to reach by highway. From the Hungarian border you will have to take road 7-E71 for approximately 100 km until Siófok. Once you reach Siófok take the highway M7-E71 in the direction of Budapest and Székesfehérvár until Àrd. Then take highway M0-E75 in the direction of Diósd and exit at Nagytétény and follow directions for Nagytétényi út. The hotel is approximately 1 km from the highway exit. By train There are several daily local trains connecting the station of Nagytétény with the Déli pu. (south station) in Budapest. Most international trains however, arrive at the Keleti pu. (east station). From there you can easily reach Déli pu. with the red underground line (M2) which connects the two stations. By airplane The Budapest Ferihegy Airport is located 15km (9 miles) from the city centre. The airport authorities run a minubus service to anywhere in the city, which costs approximately Ft1,200 ( AC;4,90). On arrival simply visit the minibus desk and state your destination. The minibus is likely to drop off other passengers on route but provides a cheap, reliable service throughout the city. Similarly, when travelling to the airport simply call the office on 1 296 85 55 and tell them which flight you are on. It is best to call 24 hours in advance of your flight to ensure they are able to collect you.An airport bus also runs to and from Erzsébet tér (Elizabeth square) bus station in the city centre every thirty minutes (between 5.30 a.m. and 9 p.m.) and costs approximately Ft600 ( AC;2,45). Take the red line M2 at the nearby Deak Ferenc tér until the Déli pu. stop. From there you can take a local train to Nagytétény.Bus number 93 runs between the airport and the underground terminus of Köbánya-Kispest. The cost of a ticket is approximately Ft95 ( AC;0,40). From there take the blue line M1 until Déak Ferenc tér stop, switch to the red line M2 and follow the above stated indications.Alternatively, once you reach Déak Ferenc tér you can take the blue line (M3) to Ferenciek Tere. From there take bus number 8 or 112 until Sà nc u. and bus number 27 until Mòric Zsigmond kortér. From there take bus number 3 to Nagytétény.
There is free parking available in front of the hotel. Transfer to/from the airport is available and subject to charges.
