Overlooking Piazza Tavani Arquati square, just a few steps from Ponte Garibaldi and the Tiberina Island, the apartments are fully furnished and ideally suited for short stays in the Eternal City. The apartments, located on the first, second and third floor of a 15th-century building, entirely restored, ensure you that each visit meets your expectations whether you're here on a well-deserved vacation or on business. Furthermore the district is full of taverns, restaurants, pubs and caffés. Il Glicine - Trastevere position is absolutely unique: in a few minutes walk, you will reach S.Maria in Trastevere, or crossing the bridge, reach the monuments symbol of Rome, such as Piazza Farnese, Campo dei Fiori, the Pantheon, the Ghetto, the Campidoglio and Piazza Navona square. Furthermore the nearby public transport will allow you to easily reach other part of the city.

Trastevere district is one of the most characteristic and vibrant area of Rome, with medieval small streets pervaded by the authentic folkloristic romanesca atmosphere exalted by poets like Belli and Trilussa. Don't miss to visit very important artistic sights such as the churches of Santa Maria in Trastevere endowed with the most important medieval mosaics of Rome, Santa Cecilia, San Crisogono, the San Cosimato cloister in the homonym ospital, the splendid aristocratic buildings such as Corsini palace or the Farnesina palace with the Raffaello paintings and the botanical gardens.
apartment - double room The 3 apartments are housed on the first, second and third floor of an elegant 15th-century building. Each lodging measures 45 sqm and consists of a living room with large windows, a bedroom and a bathroom. The wooden beamed ceilings, fine cotto floors and classical furnishings create an intimate and comfortable atmosphere. Each apartment has a living room featuring a sofa bed for 2 people, a comfortable lounge, a dining area with table and four chairs, and a fully equipped cooking corner with electric hot plate, oven and washing machine. The spacious double bedroom has a small wardrobe area with built-in closet, while the bathroom has a shower or bathtub.

We stayed 4 nights and saw more than we expected to be able to. The location is great - just across the river from the main tourist areas (easy walking distances). Trastavere has lots of little restaurants and shops. There is a farmers market just a few blocks away in the Piazza di San Cosimato, where the locals shop every morning for fresh veggies, and the deli shops are great. We saved a bunch by having Breakfast and lunch in the room and our 2 teenagers were fine sleeping in the fold-out couch.

If you want to discover Rome by foot, these appartments are located excellent, just around the corner of the Tiber. We had 2 days in Rome and walked to the circus maximus and the vatikan in maybe (straight walk, which is not possible in Rome) 15 min. The centre historico is right on the other side. We were deligted to discover the fact to be right beside many good to excellent restaurants. Please do make a reservation! Marco, who welcomed us so warmly, gave us a lot of good advice. Listen to him. Since we were a party of six, we booked two appartments. They are both charming and really well equipped (Thanks for the coffee!!) We do recommend to book a taxi with il glicine. They are one time and very friendly. Diese Appartments liegen einfach perfekt. Alles kann zu Fuß erreicht werden. Capitol, Spanische Treppe, Vatikan usw. Gleichwohl ist auch hier das römische Treiben zu beobachten. Es befinden sich viele sehr gute Restaurants und dann diese fantastisch leckere Chocolateria um die Ecke... Die Appartment sind sehr charmant und ideal für einen längeren Aufenthalt. Da wir sehr spät ankamen, fanden wir morgens alles Nötige für einen Morgenkaffee im Schrank. Marco, der noch spät auf uns gewartete hat, hat uns viele sehr nützliche Tips mit auf den Weg gegeben. Zu 6 haben wir uns 2 Appartment geteilt. Können wir nur empfehlen. Auch mit dem gebuchten Taxi für 6 Personen vom Flughafen hat alles wunderbar geklappt. Nächstes Mal bleiben wir definitiv länger und bestimmt wieder im Winter.

The apartment is situated in a very nice place, close to Tiberen and in the middle of the lovely Trastevere. It was a nice apartment, but we had some trouble with regulating the temperature of the water in the bath. Either it was to cold or to hot. We also had some troubles with the zink in the bathroom. But after all we wouldn't hesitate to come back to Il Glicine.

La ubicacion del apartamento es excelente , el recibimiento muy bueno , en cuanto a la limpieza , muy buena ,es tranquilo para descansar apesar de estar en una zona de mucho movimiento .Solo una cosa , necesita una mano de pintura para tener un aspecto mas atractivo y una decoracion un poco mas esmerada pero en general está muy bien , es muy buen lugar para alojarse.

appartement très très bien situé à proximité du coeur historique (forum romain, colysée,...) et dans le quartier animé du trastevere propice aux sorties nocturnes. Le niveau de bruit ressenti dans l'appartement demeure néanmoins très tolérable car la chambre donne sur une petite rue calme. tous commerces dans un périmètre de 500 m et tramway à 50 m. Accueil mitigé cependant car appartement pas nettoyé à notre arrivée ce qui a entraîné un relogement dans l'appart du dessous au 2nd étage (mieux au demeurant)

everything was as showed, but on the site it was mentioned that there are 2 apartments in the building on the 2ed and 3rd floor. we didn't know which apartment is shown, and we didn't know we will get the 3rd. floor. since there is no elivator, I think they should tell you which floor you get. The welcome wes accelent. Francesco met us on time (we called from the airport) and helped us carry the luggage to the 3rd. floor. We enjoyed the apartment very much. The kitchen has all the dishes, pots and pans and even olive oil and balsamic viniger, sugar, coffee and tea. we recommend it.

Excellent location in Trastevere - walking everywhere is easy. Trastevere is an animated, restaurant-filled neighbourhood, a welcome respite from the mad traffic on the other side of the river. Walking to the "centro storico" takes 10 minutes of a scenic walk but you will find yourself enjoying Trastevere and staying around at night. The staff is friendly and provide good local information.

The place is quite fine, the worst is that there is no breakfast in fact, we even did not find sugar for the coffe.

From the start on Ciampino, where the taxidriver was waiting to take us to the appartment, where Federico welcomed us, till the end, everything was perfect!

We really enjoyed our stay. Amazing location. quiet still few seconds away from everything. A phone would have been very useful. the apartment was small, very clean and perfect for what we needed. We do not travel light and the 3 floors were pretty tough with our suitcases!! Very thoughtful to have put some basic necessities for our first breakfast and some information about the area
By train From Termini train station you can take a taxi or bus number 64 until Largo Argentina. Then take tram number 8 and get off at Piazza Sonnino square. The apartments are located in Piazza Tavani Arquati, just behind Piazza Sonnino. By airplane From Fiumicino airport, take the local train, direction Fara Sabina, and get off at the Stazione Trastevere stop. Then take a taxi or tram number 8 to Piazza Sonnino square. The apartments are located in Piazza Tavani Arquati, just behind Piazza Sonnino.From Ciampino airport, take the CO.TRA.L bus to Anagnina underground station. Take the underground line A, direction Valle Aurelia, and get off at Roma Termini. Then follow the above indications.
A pick-up service to and from Fiumicino or Ciampino airport is available on request and subject to charges. You can request this service by sending us an e-mail including your flight details.
