hotel front view The charming Excelsior Swiss Quality Hotel is located in Montreux, directly on the lake of Geneva and the Quai des Fleures. Just a stone's throw from the characteristic city center, this property, which was built in the Victorian style boasts an enviable, enchanting view over the surrounding alps and the lake. Among its numerous services the hotel features a Biotonus clinic, an internal medicine centre specialised in regeneration treatments and in civilisation diseases, such as stress and obesity. Medical check-up and aesthetic medicine is also available.

double room The hotel offers 59 single and double rooms with balcony facing the beautiful lake. All rooms feature a private bathroom with shower or bathtub and hairdryer and are equipped with direct dial phone, cable TV, mini bar, safe and Wi-Fi Internet access. Some rooms come with air-conditioning. Non-smoking rooms and accommodations for disabled guests are also available. Pets are welcome.
A rich continental breakfast buffet is served in the breakfast room every morning from 7 a.m. to 10.30 a.m.

The hallways were being refurbished and were filthy - no one bothered to explain or apologise. The room itself was also in need of refurbishment and the bath was a disgrace. Main line trains,which pass within 100 metres, could be heard in the room.

Definitely not a 4-star Hotel. The room was in a very poor condition. The Walls were worn, as well as the bathroom. The bath itself was also in a very poor condition. The major problem was the lack of hot water (!!!). The water was barely warm and taking into account that I arrived there with a flue, that was not the best of what could happen in that stay... Overall I judge this hotel as overpriced and not typically of Swiss standards.
