hotel outside The Golf-Hôtel René Capt is located close to the famous Castle of Chillon in Montreux, with a fantastic view of the French Alps and Lake Geneva. It was built in 1882 and thus offers its guests modern comforts in old walls. The hotel has preserved its elegant style, which can be felt for instance in its excellent, turn-of-the century restaurant. Moreover, the hotel has a large, private garden right on the lake shore, an unusual bar carved from white stone as well as a range of lounges and conference rooms. The 62 large rooms are comfortably furnished, and the big windows allow a breathtaking view of the garden and the lake.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was clean and of adequate size. Nice modern bathroom. Overall price seemed quite high, but perhaps Montreaux is very expensive in general. Location of hotel right on the water was lovely. A pool would have been nice.

when I borrowed the adapter, they didn't tell me they would charge me 4.5 swiss franks at all. It is also the only hotel that charges for adapters during all my 7 day trip in Switerland. Poor hotel service, I will have to come down to fetch the water that I bought. Terrible hotel.

The views from this hotel are amazing, the rooms are large and clean with huge windows. Lovely helpful staff that let us check in early. We got a great rate on the room making it the best value for money we experienced in Switzerland

The hotel facilities and service greatly exceeded our expectations. We had requested a room with view to the lake and we got it, even though we booked only 1 week before traveling. The rooms were very, very clean, the hotel staff was very friendly and very helpful. The hotel has a great location, just a 25 minute walk to Chaute Chillon. I would definetly come back to this hotel! Overall, just great!
