hotel outside The Best Western Hotel Amsterdam Airport is situated off Exit 3 of the A4 motorway, around 5 minutes from Amsterdam Schiphol International Airport. The property is a newly refurbished hotel, ideal for guests who are looking for a personal atmosphere, friendly hospitality and comfortable accommodation. The reception desk is staffed 24 hours a day. Services such as wake-up call, laundry, fax/photocopying machine and tourist information are at your disposal at the reception desk. Furthermore, free Wi-Fi Internet connection is available in the lobby. Guests can use their own laptop or use the hotel computer, accessible from 7 a.m. to midnight. An à la carte restaurant is also available on the grounds.

hotel was fine for an airpoirt areaq hotel. The front desk oersonnel were not friendly or very helpful and the smoking in the lobby made entgering and leaving hotel unpleasant.

We went as a group. 8 adults, 1 kid, 2 infants. i can quote 3 +ves, 2 -ves and 1 neutral comment +ves. a) the hotel is quite close to airport and from airport you have connection trains to Amsterdam central. b) rooms are clean and well maintained. c) you can get breakfast for 12 euros in the hotel itself (if its not part of your quote or booking). There is also a McDonalds very close by. -ves. a) To get visa from the NL embassy at London we had to produce proof of accomodation from the hotel (or reservation confirmation). (they need the individual names to be mentioned, which does not come out as an automatic mail while booking) It took me a week to get the same by email,(stating the relevant adult names who required visa) and several telephone followups before i was able to get that done. b) Accomodating 1 kid along with his parents in a twin room. When i booked this through Venere (by phone), they said we can book four twin rooms and we can accomodate the kid with an additional bed for an additional charge. When i called for confirmation, the hotel said they cannot do a twin for 2 adults and 1 kid and they forced us to take a triple room for 50 euros extra per night. Neutral Hotel Shuttle :- they say its a free shuttle. but when we went in a group the hotel receptionist said the shuttle is shared with another hotel and we need to do booking for next day and the booking can take only upto 4. Thanks to her, she later helped us by bringing in a bigger shuttle. hence the neutral nature of this comment.

The Hotel did not have any information as to our reservations even though we had a printed confirmation number. However, we were accomodated anyway.

Like others there was no record of my booking at this hotel. I phoned prior to getting the bus to be told I was not booked in. When I arrived again there was no record of my booking this was disconcerting as the receptionist had just come off the phone teeling some unfortunate soul they had no rooms left. I was fearing the worst but the receptionist found me a room and eficiently sorted me out. The mini bus to from the airport the only way into Amsterdam was frrustratingly busy. They do warn you to book but when only 5 people are waiting you do not expect the bus to be full!!

We expect more from a Best Western. We had a lot of difficulty entering at the gate. We were awakened in the middle of the night by fire alarms and had to leave our room in pj's.The desk clerk neglected to charge us for breakfast until we reminded her & then she had to revise her statement. We did not get the wake up call we requested so that we almost missed breakfast.

Small rooms; twin beds. Nothing fancy here. Kinda depressing and a letdown from a standard hotel. NO AIR CONDITIONING; hot. Pay more and stay at Airport Sheraton. Nice enough buffet breakfast. Next door to McDonalds. Has wi-fi in lobby. They said they are expanding and putting in AC next year . . . .

Bus line 174 to Haarlem departs every quarter of an hour between 5.50 a.m. and 12.20 a.m. Bus line 195 to Hoofddorf departs every quarter of an hour between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. Bus line 52 to Noordwijk departs every half an hour between 6 a.m. and 12.15 a.m.
The hotel offers private outdoor parking for up to 80 vehicles.The hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle service to/from Schiphol Airport; the service runs every half hour between 6 a.m. and midday.
