staff- is quite helpful in the end.Happy n cheerful(always smile that we thought his face was just like that). But not very welcoming at first, kinda rude actually.. location- kinda faraway frm amsterdam city(almost one hour)..You have to think twice to go home earlier. And also the map given is quite confusing. You had better ask the tram's driver or anyone who knows, else you might end up lost. It happens to us,actually. But the scenery around is beautiful, too.You could see little boats parked behind houses..and there are also this lakes here and there..Well, if you are spending more than 3 days in Amsterdam, you could give this hotel a thought. cleanliness+facility- yeah, cleaner than average hotel.i love the atmosphere of the room. Don't forget to bring your own laptop coz if you do, they'll provide the line and you can surf the web free of charge! (The first thing i love bout this hotel..) as for the price vs quality..all I can say is..You get what you are paying for..

The hotel is far from the city center, but you can walk a couple of blocks and catch either the bus or tram. You can buy the tickets from the front desk and they also give you a map with the bus and tram stops on it.

Very clean, spacious rooms. Quite far from city centre but nice and quiet area. The staff are kind and helpful and speak English very well. They give a lot of information about the city. It's very good that you can buy public transport tickets at the reception.

We booked this hotel in Osdorp purely because it had parking, as we didn't want to take the car into the city proper, and didn't expect much. But the place turned out to be delightful, the staff extremely friendly and helpful, English news on the telly, great breakfast, the area pleasant and safe, and the single tram ride into central Amsterdam easy, fabulous and only 25 mins max. At no time did it feel too far from the city, but it was a relief to get back to its tranquility. We (family with 3 daughters) will definitely go back. Amsterdam itself is also wonderful, and the Anne Frank museum should be compulsory for all human beings.

Very good hotel but far from the center

The Hotel is ok, has a good Bar and Restaurant. It is approx. 10km from central station. Best way is taxi which costs between 25-30 Euros. If you ask a taxi at the Hotel it takes 20-30 minutes to arrive. The location of the Hotel is Bad , but its's quite during the night, the price is good and free car park. I would recommand it to families, not to groups out on a stag do !

Das Hotel war genau wie in der Beschreibung. Jederzeit weiter zu empfehlen. Ruhig, aber mit der Tram in ca. 20 Minuten im Stadtzentrum. Abfahrtszeiten aller 10 Minuten. Problemlos.

Very bad service, did not want to help us. We ordered a smoking room but didnt get it, despite they had one availeble! We asked for a simple thing as a coffe cup, but didnt get it. The staff was rude and when we threatend them to leave they said they didnt care! We changed room after one day, and stayed at Radisson SAs, that was great. Good service and polite people!

The hotel was lovely and the distance from the centre of Amsterdam meant that we were able to see more of the city than we would have otherwise. Trams were reliable and cheap. Staff at the hotel were very good and our only problem has been that postcards posted by the hotel have not arrived at their destinations two weeks later!

This hotel was very good for someone like myself who was visiting Amsterdam as part of a road trip. It is just to the West of the city, and has free parking, its about a 7 minute walk to the tram stop then 30 minutes on the tram to the centre at €2.40 so not bad at all. Its certinately not in a picturess environment with blocks of flats all around but we certinately had no problems. The rooms themselves were fantastic, very big, loads of TV channels (some english too!) and a very good welcome from reception so I would recommend it.

Employees were very friendly. The lobby is nice, but hallways are outdated. Our only real complaint is that noise in the hallways is easily heard inside the rooms. We were awakened several times during the night by people talking outside our door.

The hotel tulip inn city west is a quite good 3stars hotel. It's located in the east side of amsterdam, in the osdorp district, but it's quite far from the centre. However, with the tram 17, which stop is located 5 minutes walk from the hotel, you can reach the central station in half an hour, and by night there's a nightbus that leaves you in the same place. Furthermore, the hotel sells the 1/2/3 days ticket for the public transport. If you reach the hotel by car, you could find in front of it a lot of public free parking (that's an hard thing to find in amsterdam). The hotel was clean and quite, and has a bar and a restaurant that offer a good (but not so cheap) service (we had the dinner there for a couple of nights). The employees of the hotel are kind and at disposal to give information on the city, and they speak a good english. Two little problems with the price: first of all, further to the price indicated, we had to pay for every night about 4,50euros per room for "city taxes", that's actually not a lot. Second, the hotel automatically charged us the breakfast for every night (we looked at the bill info reachable with the tv set), but at the moment of checking out they asked us if we had it (and of course we told not), and so the bill was correct. In my opinion, a good hotel if you reach amsterdam by car (like us) and you're looking to a fair price.
Excellent hotel for the price we had with Venere although not too close to centre of Amsterdam and not very easy to find at night as it is situated in an area with similar and not very beautiful blocks of flats. The surroundings are quiet but otherwise not very attractive. Breakfast is not included in the price and is 17 euros, but if you can manage a 20 min tram trip to centre of Amsterdam withoug having your morning coffee there you can find plenty of breakfast houses offering all types of breakfast at around 6 euros. Staff is nice and helpful
Nice new hotel, quiet far from center, but easy to go there in 30min by several trams. A little bit loud due to airplane traffic twice a day for a time. In the night not! Nightbus Nr 353 stops quiet near of hotel, surrounding is very idyllic, have a loock to the map
By car Follow the A4, in the direction of Amsterdam. The A4 will go over into the A10 ring Oost (East) where you will have to go in the West direction (West ring) and exit S106 Osdorp. At the traffic lights go left in the direction of Osdorp. Once at the traffic lights at the end of the road, turn right. Follow this road until you reach a church (on your right hand side). Go right into the Reimerswaalstraat and after 100 metres you will find the hotel on the right hand side. By train From the central station you can take tram n. 1, 2 or 5 until Magna Plaza. From there take tram n. 17. By airplane From the Amsterdam Schiphol international airport, take A4 highway direction Amsterdam and enter the A1 ring road.
The property has a free private parking area. The hotel offers a unique service: guests can hire a Smart car directly at the hotel.
The Brasserie Oudt Amsterdam is open from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m.; guests are welcome for breakfast, lunch buffet or an international dinner. Moreover, the hotel bar offers you a wide choice of typical Dutch drinks and snacks.
