I would stay there again. Excellent value for money. Small room, particularly the bathroom, but for a city trip where you don´t stay in the room beside sleeping totally ok. Breakfast includes the essential things, nothing more. Enough to start the day. Employees at the reception helpful and friendly.

Generally the hotel was good, although there are a few caveats to take into account. The location was relatively convenient: Even though it is not in the actual city, it's just a short, two-block walk from the train station and then a five-minute ride into the city centre. There were lots of restaurants, markets, and services around the hotel as well, so that was useful as well. The hotel itself was quite clean, and the breakfast buffet was terrific: Lots of food provided and great selection. However, the room we stayed in was very, very small. We were okay with that, but the shower in the bathroom was absolutely tiny. It was nearly impossible to turn around when rinsing without accidentally hitting the taps and turning off the water. As well, the hotel was extremely noisy, especially on Friday and Saturday night. The walls seemed to be paper-thin, and we could hear almost all of the movements the people in the room beside us made. There was a regular stream of guests coming in each night until 2am, and then more guests packing and leaving early each morning that started at 6am. Therefore, the only time one could sleep decently was between 2am and 6am. One last point: Make sure you check which train station you get off at! There are two Paris stations called "Asnieres", and we got off at the wrong one. It was a one-hour walk to get to the hotel... Overall, the hotel has some good benefits, but it's not the place to go to if you want to be guaranteed a good night's sleep or a nice, relaxing shower in the morning.

The hotel is very well located, near the train station, and the surroundings offer a supermarket and some nice restaurants and cafés. The only inconvenience was the room size: very, very small. There was no room for suitcases, but it was clean, had friendly personnel, free internet, great buffet breakfast. I would certainly go back.

I was pleased with the room and service I received at the hotel Wilson, the pictures are very accurate. However, if you've got limited time to see the city I would recommend staying closer in, within walking distance of the city sights, even if slightly more expensive. Navigating the train/metro stations first thing in the morning and last thing at night isn't the most pleasant experience. Also, I made the tremendous mistake of trying to take the metro/train to the hotel with my luggage and after dark, I wouldn't recommend either, what a nightmare! It's not so easy to find and the metro is NOT luggage friendly! Unless you're traveling light and can easily carry your suitcase up/down several flights of stairs, you're better off taking a cab, expensive, but worth it! The train you need to get to the hotel is not on any of the maps either! From the Saint-Lazare Station (if you've taken the metro- which is below ground) you need to follow signs with the picture of the train (which is above ground)and take the "Asnières - Eubonne" train (pay attention, there is more than one Asnières train!). Exit the train at the Asnières- Sur Seine stop, go down the stairs at the center of the platform and take a left to exit, walk 2 blocks to De Gaulle, turn right, walk 2 blocks to Rue du Chateau, turn left, the hotel is less than a block up on the right. I wasn't just directionally challenged, I talked to others staying there who also got turned around trying to find it. The staff was very friendly and willing to speak English. Unfortunately, there's really nothing to see close to the hotel, but there are cash machines, bars, bakeries, etc. nearby.

Hotel Wilson is a very cute and cozy hotel. The entrance, lobby/lounge/reception and breakfast room are nice and modern and there's a little courtyard where you can have breakfast if the sun's out. Breakfast was very good. The room itself was very clean, but a bit small and the interior not very up-to-date. But everything was very comfortable and price/quality was fine! The only, quit big problem was lack of quietness. Every door closing and opening on the same floor was being heard by us. Other big advantage: parking your car in the weekends is free. A parkingspot may sometimes be hard to find. The hotel can be easily accessed via Gare St. Lazare and a short trip by train, and also by car. TOmTom-users: Be aware! Don't look for Rue du Chatel in Paris, but enter the village of Asnieres en then look for this street.

Unclear from the website, but you have to park on the street, but after a possibly long search for a carpark, the price is cheap (3 Euros for 24 hrs). Unclear from the website, but we payed 120 Euros per night for a simple double + bfast (due to concurrency of our stay with trade fairs?). Unclear from the website, but rooms are etremely small, bedding sheets and blankets are skimpy, short, and scant. Noise from couples in neighboring rooms and from corridor. The bathroom ceiling was open and unhealthy insulation fibres visible; plus no ventillation in bathroom, this caused whole room to smell of mould (see photo). This is a one star hotel masquerading as a 2 star. We stayed there as we thought it might be cleaner and more modern with better parking since outside the city - it is not, and has no own parking, so we may as well have stayed in the city. The desk clerks were not very welcoming. They do not realize that guests who arrive in cars are tired after having to search for parking and drag their baggage on foot to the hotel. The price seemed excessive at 120 a night for very basic but clean (except for bathroom in our case) accomodation.

The hotel was clean and convenient for our 3 night stay. This is a medium sized hotel and is easy to find. We had the standard room, double bed was comfortable (not too soft, not too hard), room was a bit small but we expected this. There is a small storage wardrobe, no tea or coffee making facilities, bathroom was clean and the shower was fantastic with good water pressure, there was a shower curtain. I forgot my UK to european power point adaptor but the reception gave me one when asked. The rooms were cleaned everyday. Noise was not too bad, we could slightly hear other guests but this was only in the morning at breakfast time. The breakfast consists of cereals, pastries, juices, canned cut fruits etc. with coffee/tea and is served 6am to 10am on weekdays and 7am to 10am on weekends. The best way to get to there is RER - from Magenta station (Gare du Nord) to St.Lazare; then mainline train (follow signs for Grand Lignes) from Gare St.Lazare to Asniers-sur-seine. The hotel is barely 5 mins walk from Asniers-sur-seine train station (head out towards exit, past a McDonalds on the right and a statue of 2 men, turn right onto main road and then turn left after a bus stop at a set of lights, hotel is a few yards on your right). There is free wi-fi in all rooms but we used the free internet on the computer located in the reception. Check-in is only 3 pm so when we turned up at 12, we could leave our luggage at the reception for storage till we returned later.

We selected Hotel Wilson after we red on venere.com the reviews of the other guests. The hotel fully met our excpectations. We also managed to find it very quickly going by car. Our room had only one small demerit: its window faced to the building yard and because of noise we woke up earlier than we wished. We were at Hotel Wilson in Mai 2008 and I suppose the constructions work is now over.

great place to stay if you are exploring Paris. Just a short train ride to the city. The Wilson is in a small local area with shops and bars away from the hussle and bustle. The only bad experience being our initial journey from C.D.G airport, I am sure there is a better way to get to the hotel than the way that is suggested, but as learners to the train and metro system we followed the instructions but still ended up lost.

My husband, two kids (ages 10 & 12) and I stayed at Hotel Wilson for four nights and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it! Although the rooms were small (very typical for Paris), they were well equipped, comfortable and, more importantly, clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast (included in the price) was fresh and well presented. Delicious! The cozy terrace (complete with garden) behind the hotel is perfect for a quiet meal that can easily be picked up at a local restaurant. The area itself is perfect for a family with two children. The area is clean and safe (the hotel is only a couple doors down from the local police station). Shops and restaurants are all within walking distance, as is a movie theatre -- perfect for taking a break from sightseeing in downtown Paris. Getting to Paris is relatively easy with a short train ride, followed by a subway ride. If we go to Paris again, we will definitely stay at Hotel Wilson.

I travelled with my wife and daughter and spent two days here while one a weeks holiday to Paris and Disneyland. The triple room with breakfast is very good value for a family with one child. The breakfast is excellent. Venere and Hotel Wilson needs to update the information about where the hotel is located. It is not in La Défense, but in the village of Asnières. (There are actually two stations called Asnières, and the right station is Asnières sur Seine, which unfortunately is not included on most metro and public transport maps of Paris. Go to the train station at Gare Saint-Lazare, - don't take the metro line 13 to Asnières-Gennevilliers) A few hints on how to find the right train at Gare Saint-Lazare: Look at the screen for trains departing, and see if they stop at Asnières. (These trains were usually departing from tracks around 8-12) Venere should also include information on how to reach the hotel from the Asnières railway station. (Follow the sign for Hotel Wilson outside the station and go straight down the road about two hundred meters until you reach the end, and turn right. Turn left at rue du Château. It's definitely not two minutes, unless you run! Five minutes would be more correct. An easy and nice walk. The information on the location page is mostly wrong: - "City Area:La Défense" -> not correct - "From Gare d'Asnières: 2 minutes on foot." -> More like 5 minutes, but still an easy and nice walk. - "From the Opéra: 10 minutes by public transportation" -> Not correct, as far as I experienced. In that case how would you travel? - From La Défense: 10 minutes by public transportation. -> Not correct. In that case how would you travel?

This was a really nice place to stay in Paris, particularly how expensive accommodations usually are there. It was a bit outside the city proper, but was very close to the train station and only a short suburban train ride into the thick of things. The room was fairly small, but clean and quite functional, and the free internet was handy.

We found the staff at Hotel Wilson to be very courteous and professional. We also very much appreciated how gracious they were in speaking English to us as our French is very limited. Remarkable cheap (and breakfast included), nice staff, and only 10 minuts to city-centre by train. And you can use the same Paris Visite travel card as for Metro, RER and busses (I bought a Paris Visite for 5 zones, which I used from the airport, to the hotel, to Versailles and (of course) within Paris City). Next time in Paris I also want to use Hotel Wilson!

Our only expectation was to get a cheap but pleasant hotel with good traffic to the centre of Paris in a quiet disctrict, breakfast included if it's possible. We stayed 3 nights in mid-May 08 and found the hotel an acceptable value in a pleasant location. The Hotel Wilson will provide decent lodging for a fair price. Just make sure to read the direction signs once you exit the metro train. Our travel schedule has allowed us to stay in many sections of the city over the years and must say that the extra metro train ride was not that much of a problem. However, for the first time Paris vistor, I would suggest staying in the heart of the city to enjoy the overall experience.

Hotel Wilson ist not in La Défense, but in Asnière sur Saine!!! Hotel Wilson has some nice restaurants nearby of average quality, where often french people are going to dinner. To reach Hotel Wilson: Take a train (runs every 10 to 15 minutes) from Gare St. Lazare. Then walking ca. 5 Minutes to the hotel. In Paris take a "orange card for 3 Zones" - for this you need a picture of your face. It's the cheapest way for tourists.

A very nice hotel, with friendly staff. Clean and neat. The hotel was conveniently located near the railway sation (3 minute walk). Trains to Gare St Lazare departed every 15 minutes. The RER station is only 2 minutes from Hotel Wilson and the train only takes about 8 minutes to get to St. Lazare, a major Metro hub and central to a lot of Paris attractions. There are also good services right in the area of the hotel. Taking these factors into account, it was worth being a bit out of the central area in order to get a good room rate (I realize that it was also off-season but I still think we savwd quite bit). The beakfast served as part of the price was excellent and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I would have no reservations about recommending Hotel Wilson to anyone seeking clean, reasonably priced accomodations in Paris.
