We loved this hotel. It is in the middle of a vineyard, which is great when you are in Chianti. The room was big and spacious and clean. It was exactly what we were thinking when we registered to stay here. It even has a great pool and is close to Radda in Chianti and many wineries. The restaurant here is very nice, however the service was so slow. Of course that didn't matter to us. The wine service in the restaurant was the best we saw throughout Italy. Very impressive!

Our three nights at La Vigne were fantastic. The hotel is situated well off the main road amongst vines and was tranquil and restful. The staff were helpful and cheerful. Our room was separate from the main building, one of four, two up and two down. The room was spacious and well equipped with the basics. On the third night we were disturbed by noise from the adjoining room, the occupants sounded as if they were in the same room. A separately owned restaurant is on the lower floor of the main building and serves absolutely stunning local fare. Don't miss it.

Le Vigne is in a beautiful setting, the rooms spacious and well appointed. We were in a cottage room, and the lower rating for noise was simply because a group in an upstairs room frequently moved furniture around, resulting in noise transfer, otherwise very peaceful wonderful setting. Didn't use the pool because of weather, but can imagine lounging and overlooking the valley from poolside. Easy access to hiking. The restaurant (separte ownership) located adjacent to hotel is fabulous and reasonably priced.

We did not stay in Hotel Le Vigne, but were accommodated in its sister hotel, Noci, some 10 minutes drive away. The overall impressions and service at Noci were good, although it would seem that at the time we booked, Hotel Noci was catering for walkers and either these guests were helping themselves to items from the breakfast buffet for eating later on, or insufficient rolls, bread etc were being put out. If you arrived for breakfast after 8.45 a.m., you had only the choice of the remanents.

We had an wonderful stay with three other couples at Hotel Le Noci and we would recommend the hotel to any traveller wishing to experience the Chianti region. The service was excellent and our rooms were awesome. We will be back.

we had room nr.1 - the next to the entrance: much space, a very good bed, shortest way to the great pool; only the breakfast is poor; go to the "Vignale" restaurant and shop in Radda for diner and shopping their great wines, balsamicos and digestives!

The hotel is beautiful. Very small, quaint and right in the middle of vineyards and olive groves. The pool was a nice ammenity but could have been a bit cleaner. The room was great, very big and nice and clean. But as our room was located in the front of the building it was quite loud. We could hear the front desk and cleaning staff very clearly. The man (owner?) who greeted us when we arrives was great. Very welcoming and spoke great English. Although we enjoyed our stay, we did encouter some problems with the hot water, or lack of hot water. We took cold showers for the majority of our stay at the hotel and when we brought this up upon checking out the staff was not concerned with our discomfort. We were also over charged for our room (10 euros extra per night) so make sure you look at your receipt!

This place is a little piece of paradise transplanted on Earth. The room I had was spacious, clean, well decorated, and what can I tell about the beauty of the view (vineyard). The restaurant was also excellent for dinner. The only negative is the lack of air conditioning, making my 2 nights there (in July) not very good in terms of sleeping quality.

The manager was very welcoming and friendly. The hotel is overpriced compared to other hotels we stayed in in the same area. Our bedroom was boiling hot with no air conditioning and only a small bathroom window to open. We had to sleep with the bedroom door wide open (not ideal). The pool was ok but full of dead insects and needed more regular cleaning. The breakfast was poor. Good points included the excellent resturant next to the hotel which served dinner and the views. Radda is a lovely little town.

The property is idyllic- it actually does sit in the middle of a vineyard. It is however, a little difficult to locate, particularily in the dark. The owner is quite friendly and accomodating, and the location is excellent. The restaurant on site (differnet ownership) is also excellent quality and service. Highly recommend Le Vigne to anyone planning a trip to Tuscany.

The usual ploy of overbooking used again, did not stay at the Vigne but at the sister hotel ,3 miles away. The other hotel was alright but not what I had booked. Was told that there was no electricity in the room we had booked and so we would have to move, by this stage had already booked the excellent restaurant next door. When we left the restaurant the lights were suddenly working in that room and it was clearly occupied. Also charged different rate to that quoted.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Le Vigne. The accomodations were excellent and the town of Radda is a very nice location to base excursions to other area attractions. We did not find the inn difficult to find as others had noted. We had an outstanding dinner at the restaurant and service was not slow as otherwise noted in other reviews. Breakfast at the inn could have been better - the bread was definately recycled from dinner the night before. Overall an excellent stay.

We booked Le Vigne but upon arrival we were told that the last guest was sick and could not check out. The owner made arrangements for us at another property, which I found out later he also owned. All of the other guests there were also told similar stories; car accident, illness, etc. and were likewise transferred to Il Noce. There was air conditioning but it wasn't running despite the 32 degree celsius temperatures. The only window was in the bathroom. No screens resulted in flies and everything else in our room.

My wife and I loved this hotel. It was everything we expected and more. The lack of air conditioning was not a problem. With the windows open and cool breezes which carried the delicious smells from the kitchen, this was one step removed from heaven.

This inn is beautiful. We stayed in a little seperate cottage that was surrounded by vineyards and olive trees. The room was very well furnished and the views out the windows were amazing. Leonardo is a wonderful host and speaks english very well. The restaurant at the vineyard is great as well. We will definately return, hopefully soon.

Set in a lovely peaceful spot, road a bit bumpy to the hotel, rooms very nice, could do with some form of air conditioning as it got very hot and this was in September. Breakfast not good dry croissants and bread awful coffee!, restaurant for dinner very nice but service was incredibly slow

Small hotel with really friendly staff and good facilities. Quality of bedroom and bathroom was excellent. No air conditioning, but room kept quite cool with the windows open, even in July. Fantastic location, set in the middle of a vineyard, and only a 10min walk from Radda village. The next door restaurant had excellent food and views at night time. Breakfast was typically basic. We would highly recommend it, especially for couples.

We stayed during off season, the room was good value for money for this area. Beautiful setting with views to the vineyards. Friendly and competent staff. The restaurant was closed. As we are not big on breakfast, it was sufficient. The rooms are cosy but not overly appointed with creature comforts. If your days are filled with away from the room activities it is a very good base for the region.

hotel le vigne is located amongst vineyards in the beautiful toscana region. we arivved at a late hour and welcomed by the owner. the rooms were amasing and so is the location. the hotels resturant is for sure worth the visit with quit good prices. we thing that the pictures in the web site are not as beautiful as the place realy is. arriving to the place was easy (thanks to mapquest). an upgrade to the hotels breakfast will be welcomed. we suggest not to miss this amasing hotel if traveling to the area of Florence

Room Ok in Oct but no air con so likely to be rather too hot in mid summer. Breakfast probably the worst we have been offered in out travels. Super restaurant, under different management but in the same building, was the highlight of our stay with realy excellent local menu.

among the most perfect vacation accomodations i have stayed in - the one drawback: waiting for over 1 hour 10 minutes at the restaurant to get my wine ordered, and almost a total of three hours to reach the end of the meal. inexcusable, and downright insulting to us, and many of the other hotel guests who were prevented from eating elsewhere due to the hour of the reservations.

A lovely spot. Highly recommended. Dinner was terrific at the attached (but seperate ownership) restuarant. But make sure you have a reservation. Although we were told by an afternoon waitress that one was not needed, you actually need one to sit in the main dining room. Only issue is that the restuarant workers were quite noisy during their late evening/night clean-up.

We had a very warm welcome at Le Vigne by the tenants who are very friendly. The room was very big (N°2) , much bigger than at Hotel Pescille where we stayed before (San Gimignano) & very clean, extra towels for pool, big bathroom. Location is absolutely beautiful & pool chairs (with adjustable shades) and pool were better than on the picture. The restaurant was excellent (truffles, toscan specialities), on 4 nights we ate there 3 times. The only disadvantage are that with the heat we had to leave windows open, allowing noise from restaurant until about 12pm. It's a place that is recommended by the Routard. Breakfast is basic, but my feeling Italians don't care about breakfast... A fridge in the room was also a plus.

A superb hotel with an excellent restaurant ( and wine/grappa list ). Situated in a vineyard only 1KM from Radda the views over the surrounding hills are wonderful. The hotel also has a detached villa, about ten minutes stroll away from the main building, where we stayed and has even more spectacular views over the valley. All in all, this hotel is a real find and can certainly be recommended.
