Easily reachable by public transportation, the apartment is just 5 minutes on foot from Campo de' Fiori, Piazza Farnese and the Pantheon, and only 10 minutes to Trevi fountain and St Peter's Basilica. Il Glicine - Navona consists of a comfortable one-room studio situated on the third floor (without lift) of an ancient building. Recently redecorated and finely furnished, this charming apartment is equipped with all the necessary facilities to ensure a truly pleasant stay in Rome.

apartment - double room Il Glicine - Navona apartment is a small, yet cosy 35 sqm (376 sq. feet) one-room flat. The accommodation can comfortably host up to two persons, with the possibility to add an extra single bed for a third guest. The beamed ceiling, the cotto floor, and the wooden furnishings give a touch of intimacy to this quiet and comfortable haven. The large windows overlook the picturesque roof tops of the historic centre, and the bathroom has a wide shower and a small balcony. The apartment is equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV, stereo with CD player, as well as a fully equipped cooking corner. Baby cots are available upon request. Small pets are welcome at the property.

We loved staying here. The location is fantastic, just a 2 minute walk from Piazza Navona and also has it's own small Piazza that is charming. This area is teeming with life, there are young people out until late at night. The area always felt safe. Our favorite restaurant, Ristorante Ecce Bombo is right around the corner. Franco, the owner, has a wonderful place. The location is also convenient as a small local market and a butcher are just one block away. We felt so at home and got a wonderful feeling for what it's like to live in a neighborhood. There is one thing that might be an issue for some -- there is a restaurant and a bar next door and they can be pretty noisy most nights until about 2am. We found, however, that it was nice background noise. I am an extremely light sleeper and slept soundly with ear plugs.

The Navona appartment is located in a great part of the city and is well situated to visit all of the sights. Providing that your are going to be out all day, and most of the night, and all you need is a bed and shower it is perfectly adequate. It is though very small, and any ideas about reflecting on life on the balcony, over a sharpener in the evening before dinner should be banished from the start. The description includes a note to the effect that you can see over the rooftops of Rome from a small balcony off the bathroom; this really is poetic licence in the extreme - the reality is a view of ancient pipework in the light well at the side of the property. However, we had a great time and if all you need is a base, then this apartment provides a moderately priced option compared to everything else that was available when we tried to book at the lastminute.
By car From the Grande Raccordo Anulare ring-road, take the Foro Italico-Nomentano-Tiburtino exit. Enter in Rome and proceed along the Circonvallazione Tiburtina-Tangenziale Est. Turn right onto Via della Stazione Tiburtina and reach Piazza delle Crociate. Continue along Via della Lega Lombarda and, at Piazza delle Provincie, take the second exit. Continue on Via Catania, take Via Bari and turn left onto Via Giovanni Battista Morgagni. Take Viale del Policlinico, turn left onto Viale Castro Pretorio and then right onto Via San Martino della Battaglia. At Piazza dell'Indipendenza, take Via Solferino, then Largo Giovanni Montemarti and Viale Enrico De Nicola. Continue along Viale Luigi Einaudi and, at Piazza Esedra, take Via Nazionale and turn right onto Via 4 Novembre. Continue along Via Cesare Battisti, take Via del Plebiscito, then Corso Vittorio Emanuele II and reach Vicolo della Cancelleria where the apartment is located. By train From Termini railway station take a taxi or bus number 64 to Corso Vittorio Emanuele, close to the Cinema Augustus. Vicolo della Cancelleria is a small street at the corner with Corso Vittorio Emanuele. The trip from Termini station takes approximately 15 minutes by taxi and 20-25 minutes by bus. By airplane From Rome-Fiumicino airport, you can either take a taxi or the local train to Termini railway station and follow the above indications. Travel time is approximately 40 minutes by taxi and 1 hour and 30 minutes by public transportation.From Rome-Ciampino airport, you can either take a taxi or the CO.TRA.L bus at the Arrivi Bus area and get off at Anagnina underground station. Take the underground line A to Roma Termini station and follow the above indications. Travel time is approximately 40 minutes by taxi and 1 hour and 30 minutes by public transportation.
Guests can leave their car in a public parking located 350 metres/0.2 miles from the apartment.A pick-up service to/from Ciampino and Fiumicino airports can be arranged upon request, subject to charges.
