I arrived in Barcelona, within the first five minutes I had my handbag stolen. The hotel staff were extremely helpful in obtaining the telephone numbers of agencies I needed to contact. They made me feel very welcome and helped me every step of the way, right down to contacting a local doctor to get an urgent prescription for my medicine. I have only praise for the staff, their courtious and professional behaviour. The hotel met all my expectations. The rooms were very clean and spacious.

rooms need hot water jugs and tea coffee as standard. The room service also was closed on Sundays which was annoying as the restaurant was closed!! But overall the hotel offers superb value for money much better than we expected. Staff were more than excellent in all capacities.

The Hotel is really very nice and comfortable, the rooms are clean and spacious, the forniture is good!People at the welcome desk are kind and competent. The only problem is breakfast: too expensive, 11 euros each!

Excellent Hotel,but not in walking distance to the town centre. Do not order a Taxi from the main desk as you will be charged from were the taxi has left from not from were you are picked up. We got into a taxi that already had 5 euros on the clock.

Excellent hotel - impressive rooms , very clean and friendly staff. Unfortunately the hotel is quite far away from the centre of Barcelona and requires using the tube - the map supplied on venere.com is very misleading in regard to the scale/distance the hotel is from the centre. We though it was failry close, but in the end it wasn't.

A pleasant hotel a little off the beaten track. Friendly staff and a good beach within a couple of minutes walking distance. Well worth a visit. Generally good value for you hard earned dosh!!!

As we were only in Barcelona for 2 days over a weekend it was dissaapointing to find that the restaurant and cafeteria were not open, with the hotel being located a little of the beaten track,getting something to eat proved difficult. Witht the exception of no tea making facilities in the rooms the hotel accommodation was excellent and I would recommend it to any one wanting to stay 10 mins or so from the city centre.

Accomodation was of a very high standard, and staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean, quiet, spacious and well equipped. Breakfast was relatively expensive by local standards and not included in room price (10 euros per person per day), but was of fair quality. Hotel was set in a nice but quiet area, some distance outside the city centre (although only 6 metro stops away from the main districts - 3 day travel card valid on all public transport was only 11 euros). Overall, the hotel was very good value for money, and made an excellent base for seeing the city.

The hotel was close to the Metro station which allowed easy access to Barcelona. The choices for the evening meal were limited but with the number of restaurants in Barcelona this was hardly relevant. Reception staff were very good. The only problem with the hotel was that we could hear the people in the next door room but this was due to a door between the rooms (which was locked) that would be used if you requested it. We never heard the other side at all. All in all I would recommend this hotel as good value compared to other hotels in Barcelona.

In an area undergoing 'regeneration', very few cafe's/ restaurants or facilities nearby. Walls very thin so could hear neighbouring rooms... Next time will go for something closer to city centre.

Hi, The hotel was of good standard and the rooms where spacious and the maids did a splendid job. Not so service minded staff, like greetings and giving information of things you could do, like restaurants, bars and so on. Not so interested in you as a person. Everything was satisfactory, but there was no area in which this hotel or its employees exceeded my expectations. I think I may have expected more of a 4 star hotel in the UK, but I was very happy that there were no occurrences of anything to upset our stay.

This hotel is not at all up to English standards of 4*. The pool was advertised, yet closed - we were not informed. The staff could not speak English. We had to pay to have a shirt ironed - a rediculous rate, since in English hotels you have an ironing board in the room. The mini bar was almost empty - had only coca-cola, orange, water and beer in it. Could not regulate the temperature of the room, TV didn't work. Don't know if there was any room service as there was no note in the room with the info on. Hotel is badly situated, quite a distance from the tourist area of Barcelona, although on the sea front, but not one you can access. You need to walk a distance to get to the beach. We didn't feel safe walking there at night.

I've had the opportunity to stay at the hotel thru venere.com at 45 EUR per night for a double room (1 to 4 march). At this price this hotel is more than excellent. I found it a shame the windows could not be opened and the room did not have airco (for a 4* hotel ...). To get any fresh air I needed to ask the reception to come and open my window (and afterwards to close it again). I wonder how they manage in the summer. Not much in the neighborhood but nearby metro takes you right into the center of Barcelona. 200m to the beach. Conclusion: great hotel for it's price

it is a nice hotel though it is a bit out of the city (€8 in taxi to city centre and metro and bus nearby). not much going on in surrounding area but it is very close to the beach. the weather wasn't good while I was there so that wasn't much use.

This hotel was in a prime location convienent and easily accessable, I was pleasantly surprised by the luxurious surroundings, overal the whole experience was delightful.

GOOD ACCOMODATION IN A QUIET, SAFE PART OF THE CITY. ONLY 5 MINUTES FROM THE METRO OR SEA FRONT. NO KETTLE IN THE ROOM TO MAKE TEA OR COFFE.
