We've been the first time at lavagna, we (a group of motorbikers) will be there again in 2009. The region is bikers paradise, a very restful hotel to stay at, a nice town with excellent restaurants. The hotel itself is a very pleasant place to stay, merely the breakfast is typical italian style.

The hotel is quite outdated. The setting is not really a "park" so much as a larger piece of land with the hotel in the middle, parking is essentially "in the yard". The lobby area is not very warm, and the owners seem just very business-like, probably owing to very little English fluency, which is understandable. The room itself was a little disappointing, in that it was not at all luxurious, if that's what you're seeking. But, comparatively, staying here is cheaper than many towns on the coast. But don't expect much from Lavagna alone - it's not a tourist destination, although we enjoyed being forced to assimilate and try our best with speaking Italian. Two other notes: We stayed over a weekend, and there were a few children also staying. We were unable to sleep past 7 or 8am due to their running around and doors being slammed. There didn't appear to be much, if any, carpeting to muffle noise. Also, beware that there is a sort of curfew. They close the gates at midnight, and if you arrive after you must ring the buzzer and know that you are waking the owners up. You must also ask for your room key each time you return, since, oddly, they take it when you leave. Overall, I would not recommend the place highly, and please make sure Lavagna is what you want in a town.

terrible surrounding, no air condition, very unfriendly service people and concierge. the view is terrible, setted in the middle of high and poor living-skycrapers. there is absolutely no vacation/dolce vita feeling. i was very disappointed! first and last time, we visited this hotel!!!
