Church Cottage is a picturesque, detached, one bedroom cottage situated in a small village which nestles between the Mendip Hills and Blagdon Lake.
The cottage has been fully modernised, although retains many original features, is very attractively decorated and well equipped.
On the ground floor is a cosy sitting room with comfortable suite, colour t.v./c.d player, wood burning stove, flagstone floor etc.
Also on the ground floor is a charming kitchen with ceramic 4 hob cooker, oven, fridge freezer (50/50), microwave oven etc. and a comprehensive range of equipment and utensils. A concealed staircase leads up to the lovely bedroom which has exposed beams and original fireplace, double bed and pine furniture. There is an en-suite bathroom with full size bath, with shower over, washbasin and w.c.
Outside is a private patio with table and chairs and barbecue. There is a small outbuilding off the patio which has been converted into a utility room with washing machine and space to store bikes, walking or fishing equipment etc.
The bed will be made up ready for your arrival and we can arrange for a supply of logs to be available for a cosy evening in!
The cottage is ideal for a single person or couple wanting to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Blagdon is a picturesque village situated on the slopes of the Mendip Hills and overlooks Blagdon Lake. Over 260 species of birds have been recorded here and last year almost 60,000 rainbow and brown trout were caught at Blagdon and the nearby Chew Valley Lake.
The village of Blagdon has a selection of traditional pubs serving fine wines and beers, aswell as excellent food. The local shop is a few minutes walk away and people come from miles around to the village butcher for their meat, sausages, cheese and fish.
Blagdon is conveniently situated should you want to visit cities such as Bath, Wells or Bristol or smaller interesting towns such as Glastonbury, Weston-Super-Mare, Cheddar, Clevedon, Portishead.
The cottage is available throughout the year for summer or winter holiday, short breaks and long weekends.
