Overlooking fields in a peaceful country lane, which leads to a sandy cove and a small fishing harbour, this detached house is beautifully furnished and decorated, and provides a marvellous place in which to relax and unwind. The property is set close to the Wexford Coastal Path, making an ideal way to explore this scenic coastline which is blessed with golden beaches and picturesque harbours. Wexford itself is 15 miles, where you can take the train to Dublin, or visit Avoca, better known as 'Ballykissangel' from the TV series. The pretty village of Ladys Island is 2½ miles away, and there is a protected area surrounding the lagoon for keen birdwatchers. A 20-minute drive will bring you to Rosslare harbour, an area that is recognised as the sunniest in Ireland. The charming fishing village of Kilmore Quay is 15 miles and has lively pubs and restaurants. From here, you can take a boat trip to the Saltee Islands. This area boasts much of historic interest including the Irish National Heritage Park and Irish Agricultural Museum, the Hook Lighthouse, Duncannon Fort, Tintern Abbey and at New Ross, the Dunbrody Famine Ship. For beautiful gardens, Kilmakee and the JFK Arboretum are well worth a visit, and during July and August, there are many local festivals, whilst during October, Wexford hosts its famous opera festival. Activities locally include golf, fishing, scuba diving and horse riding. This is an ideal touring location for Wexford, Waterford, Wicklow and Kilkenny. Award winning pub/restaurant ½ mile.
