16th century Grade II listed cottage Detached character cottage for 4 Step back in time in this 16th century Grade II listed detached cottage in a unique location just below Houndtor in the heart of the Dartmoor National Park, the perfect place to relax and yet within easy driving distance of a number of moorland towns and villages. Access to the property is 300 yards down a path through 2.5 acres of woodland. The path is not difficult but not suitable for those who have trouble walking. Rabbits, foxes, squirrels, many birds and other wildlife are often seen. It is simply, but comfortably, furnished and is full of character, with beams, a large inglenook fireplace with woodburner and low ceilings. There is a pretty cottage style garden with picnic area and table. Pub 3 miles. Lounge, dining room, kitchen, bathroom with toilet leads off twin bedroom. 2 bedrooms: 1 twin, leading to 1 double. Storage heater, electric convector heaters, woodburner, all fuel and power included in rent, bed linen included in rent, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, garden, garden furniture, ample off road parking. Up to 2 pets welcome. Sorry, no television due to poor reception. Friday to Friday changeover day. NB There is a pond in the garden, young children may require supervision.
