The dramatic lakeland scenery is in every direction and there are many atttractions in the area including the Beatrix Potter Exhibition, museums, art galleries, gardens and historical buildings. The area is an outdoor enthusiast's paradise with many walks and cycle paths to suit all abilities. If all this becomes too much the local villages and towns offer a multitude of charming shops, pubs and restaurants to relax away the day. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 0.25 miles.
