300 year old stone cottage Situated on the edge of Freshwater village at the western tip of the island is this 300 year old semi detached stone cottage. The cottage has been lovingly renovated in recent years, preserving as much of the original character as possible. With beamed ceilings, 2 foot thick stone walls, and a woodburner in one of the sitting rooms. There is a lovely riverside walk to Yarmouth close by, whilst nearby Tennyson Down also provides picturesque walks with stunning sea views. The beach at Alum Bay with its famous coloured sands is only a short drive away. Shop, pub and restaurant 100 yards. Ground floor: Lounge, kitchen/diner, second lounge, bathroom with toilet and basin, utility room. First floor: Bathroom with separate shower, toilet and basin. 3 bedrooms: 1 kingsize, 1 double, 1 childs twin. Gas central heating, woodburner in lounge (initial supply of fuel provided), all other fuel and power included in rent, bed linen and towels included in rent, highchair, colour TV, DVD player, video, stereo/CD player, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, freezer, microwave, lawned garden, garden furniture, off road parking for 2 cars.
