These five holiday properties are peacefully situated and surrounded by lovely countryside where cattle and sheep graze. W2937 is a delightful cottage on one level which forms part of an 18th century steading conversion. It has been tastefully renovated to provide spacious holiday accommodation. The large bedroom with its en suite bathroom has a magnificent 18th century ½ tester bed. Tastefully furnished and decorated with flair, W435 has panoramic views to the front and rocky crags to the rear. This very spacious character farmhouse has been renovated to a good standard, yet retains all its 18th century charm.
Set on two levels, W7015 is an excellent conversion of part of a former 18th century farm steading. The particularly spacious lounge and bedroom, with its period four poster bed, have stunning views, through arched windows, over a gravelled courtyard to the valley beyond. The Victorian style roll top bath and features add to the luxury within this holiday cottage. W7635 is a delightful terraced barn conversion which provides excellent holiday accommodation. It has been sensitively restored to retain its original charm. Decorated to a high standard and luxuriously furnished, it is a divine property. W7637 is also part of this small cluster of farm buildings, which have been converted providing excellent holiday accommodation individually, or together for extended families and friends.
This area is in excellent walking country with Hadrian's Wall and the Cheviot Hills both easily accessible, as well as Kielder and Harwood Forests. Belsay Hall is 3 miles with its 13th century tower house, 30 acres of magnificent grounds and woodland. For those who appreciate the beauty of landscape gardening, the historic Wallington Hall is only 7 miles away, and among many superb historic houses, stately homes and gardens to explore in Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. For those looking for activity in the area, Ferney Chesters can be found, nestled between Hexham, Morpeth and the vibrant city of Newcastle upon Tyne (all approximately 15 miles away). Northumberland also offers rugged coastline, castles and pretty fishing villages. The Metro Centre at Gateshead is a short drive away.
