Overflowing with character This very charming, detached 17th century holiday cottage absolutely oozes with character and was originally built as a coach house, used as a cow shed and then as an antique shop. It retains many features including stone flag floors, exposed walls and beams and is furnished and decorated to a high standard with numerous objects in keeping with its character. Wooden stairs lead up to the double bedroom from where spiral stairs lead to a single gallery bedroom. Penrith is a lovely market town with nice shops, lots of restaurants and scenic walks to enjoy. Ullswater is 6 miles away and the Roman Wall is a 30-mile drive. The lakes offer great watersports, or you could go horse riding, paragliding or play golf, tennis, bowls. This cottage is the ideal location for visiting the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and Northumberland. Shop, pub and restaurant 300 yards. Lounge/diner, kitchen, bathroom with shower over bath, toilet and basin, 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 galleried single.
