This is Hadrian's Wall Country, an area with a rich heritage to explore, historic visitors attractions - Vindolanda and Housesteads are close by. The popular market town of Hexham, dominated by its majestic abbey is approximately 15 miles east. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
