Trout and fly-fishing is available at nearby Sweethope Loughs, and pony-trekking, windsurfing, sailing and ferry trips are on offer at northern Europe's largest man-made lake, Kielder Water (20 miles), cradled by Kielder Forest Park. Only 20 miles from the Scottish border, this is a superb location to explore the beautiful landscapes of Northumberland. Shop 2 miles, pub/restaurant 70 yards.
