Walk on the ancient city walls, visit the Jorvic Viking Centre, the National Railway Museum or Clifford's Tower, take a ride on the York Eye to view the city panorama or enjoy a relaxing boat cruise on the River Ouse. York boasts a wonderful array of fine shops, markets, cafes and restaurants to choose from, and street musicians and artists add to the ambience. The villages of the North York Moors and Yorkshire Dales make excellent day trips and the wonderful beaches of the east coast are within driving distance. Shop 50 yards, pub and restaurant 100 yards.
