Village location/Good touring base Situated in the village of Christon on the edge of the Mendip Hills, between the famous Cheddar Gorge and the renowned seaside resort of Weston-Super-Mare, this holiday accommodation consists of an 1850s cottage for four, with large private garden, and an attractive semi-detached barn conversion which has been renovated to a nice standard, featuring a wealth of beams, large picture windows, exposed stone walls and high ceilings. They make excellent holiday homes to enjoy the many attractions in Somerset, with a beach just 7 miles away. Along with walking, cycling and horse riding on the Mendips (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) one can within easy driving, visit the Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury Tor and Wells cathedral city or for days out the Golden Sands at Burnham-on-Sea, and Bath and Bristol with their many attractions. The lakes of Chew Valley and Blagdon, and Wookey Hole caves and papermill are also nearby. Glastonbury Tor and Clarks designer outlet village at Street are easily reached, as are the cities of Wells, Bath and Bristol. For beaches and sea, Weston-Super-Mare and Burnham-on-Sea provide traditional seaside attractions. Shops 2 miles, pub with food and restaurant 1.5 miles.
