Other outdoor activities include cycling, sailing on Bassenthwaite Lake and rock climbing. The bustling market town of Keswick, 2 miles away, offers individual shops, peaceful parks, cultural festivals and an excellent leisure centre. Wider attractions include historic houses, colourful gardens, a wide variety of museums, a stone circle and award winning brewery. Having discovered this beautiful area, return to the peace and comfort of this old lakeland cottage, built of cobbles and slate, and enjoy its modern comforts and welcoming atmosphere.
