300 year old farmhouse This 300 year old detached farmhouse is in a spectacular position high up on Exmoor. Sympathetically modernised throughout, it has a magnificent 30ft farmhouse style kitchen with dining area, beams and two woodburners. With its spacious living areas, bedrooms and utility room the farmhouse would make an ideal holiday home for two families. Outside is a lawned garden, just the place to sit and relax and enjoy the wonderful views of the surrounding moorland. The Lyne river is a short distance down the hill and there are lovely walks along its banks to Watersmeet, a wooded gorge with a National Trust information centre housed in a Victorian fishing lodge. This is a perfect location for walkers who have the choice of following the Two Moors Way inland through rich red farmland with its tranquil villages and imposing manor houses or the South West Coast Path with its rocky bays surrounded by some of Britain's highest cliffs that stare out towards the mountains of South Wales. Shop 4 miles, pub with food 2 miles.
