Use of tennis court Really get away from it all and stay in this tiny, very peaceful hamlet (no through traffic) on the eastern edge of the Lake District National Park. An ancient Cumbrian stone barn has been skilfully converted into three self-contained, soundproofed character cottages, each with its own separate front door. Wonderful walking is at the door of these light and roomy cottages in the foothills of the Lake District. Explore Wet Sleddale, secret Swindale, and follow the old track to Mardale and Haweswater Lake. Unless you are on Wainwright's Coast to Coast Path you will probably not meet anybody all day! Just 1 mile from Shap, 11 miles from Penrith and 15 miles from Kendal with supermarkets, lots of shops and restaurants, and arts centre. The cottages are set in spacious grounds with a shared tennis court and children's play area. Shops and pubs 1 mile. Lounge/diner, kitchen, bathroom with shower over bath, toilet and basin, 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin. Storage heaters, all fuel and power included in rent, bed linen included in rent, cot, highchair, colour TV, DVD player, microwave, shared garden, patio, garden furniture, off road parking for 2 cars. Sorry, no pets. NB: There is a pond in the garden, young children may require supervision.
